I've got one of those Bible in a year books going

Every day you get a bit of OT a bit of NT and a Psalm

Can be heavy going in the OT sometime when you get the so-and-so begat so-and-so and lived for twenty five thousand years and had 2579 sons (I may exagerate slightly here...but not much)

But it does keep me in track

Having read the Bible through once before, I'm not as worried about if I read it all again. So I read it some, perhaps slog a bit through some parts, but I'm not too worried.

It's interesting though how the lineage created by all those begats was so vital in Biblical times.

I think the early church was keen to show a distuinction between itself and the Jewish faith

Personally I believe quite a few babies went out with the bathwater back then

Dunno about rest so much

I sell The War Cry (Salvation Army newspaper) on the Highj Street of my local town (twice a week) and go round the public houses (bars) with it each saturday night

So that accounts for best part of tomorrow, and all of saturday

Church twice on Sunday and bye bye weekend

This is the ministry God gave me so thats fine

It might not be deep theological stuff but it is time consuming
