I've always found more closeness with God selling newspapers for God or such than doing any sort of deep theological stuff. But that's me. I know each person is different.

It was July 2009 when the witch hunt drove me outa this place, so just under three years ago

But you all had pretty much moved wherever you went longer ago than that. I don't know, at my age time flies.

I totally agree.

I sometimes wish I'd been given the gift of preaching (not often though) but I havn't.

Thuis is what i do and I get a lot from it

One to one contact for a start

Building bridges which, sometimes, people will venture accross

There was a shortish period of strife before the final departure, but I was still posting here for most of that time.

Thinking back to those days though...*shudders*

I'm deliberately keeping a low profile and a low level of involvement. I'll post around the Pub and a throwaway post or two out there, but that's about it. I turn into a monster when on CF. It's bad for me.

Somewhere back there in the mists of time there is also the famour reilly's Numbers list....like the lost Ark of the Covenant...it may never be seem again

We need an 'Indie' to go find it for us, and prove the existence of the legend

That bits easier than you think

Talk to God like you talk to me

You can't see me either but you chat with me

Thats all prayer is, chatting with God.

Changed my life the day I figured that out. I thought it had to be done a certain way, with certain words at certain times.

Now I ramble on to (and at) God while I'm driving, out walking, working, taking a bath...all the time really

I still 'pray' in the old way as well, usually at the time I do my Bible stuff, but I natter to God all day as well

I think a great deal of healing has to take place round here.

Some caused directly by cf's 'toubled' years, some not.

OPne benefit of the 'troubles' was that tyhe Pub just about hibernated on here, so, numbers wise, not much was missed.

So you start by saying (literally) 'Ok God, this is really hard. You kow that already so go with me on this ok?'

He won't mind honestly

He'll just be happy to have you talking to him again Thats bucket loads more important that what you actually say

Theeres a bit in there where he says that every morning you should just say this one line prayer.

'Lord, if you're there, and if you care...show me'
