Looking like being another hot one here in the UK today

Although 'hot' is a very relative term, depending on what you are used to of course

By hot, I mean about 27 degC this afternoon

Haylea would reckon that was take of jumper time

However, for us Brits thats still pretty hot....too hot in fact because it's very humid as well

Thankfully, I'm in a ice air conditioned gatehouse here on the docks so no worries

This is the second of my run of shifts so two more full ones after this and then a quick 8 hours OT on Friday to round out the week

I'm leading the evening service at church this Sunday, so, if time allows, I want to tinker with my sermon notes a bit today

All pretty much ready, just want to tidy things up a little

Anyway, a bit later I'll be using that place to discuss and learn my address for Sunday and talk about the other stuff thats happening in the service.

Laura is doing the morning se4vice on Sunday too so it's gonna be a Broadley affair right through the day

I suspect that I will be doing a more traditional type of Army meeting than my wife, who will probably have a more contempory approach to hers.

Thats part of what, IMHO, makes us a good team

A mix of the traditional and the modern, although there are blurred edges within that too.

I must say it's rather nice to have the opportunity to spend some time posting in here properly once more

Used to be that this place was where I spent much of my life

These days, life is so much busier and more complicated (Lord be praised because it's all for Him)

However, I have a chance today to spend several hours in the Pub...assuming that other people are around as well of course, which has not been the case that much of late

So, whats new then?

Well, I got my next holiday booked yesterday

Yes, we are off to Wales for 9 days at the end of September. Booked us onto a lovely caravan site in the island of Anglesay, about a mile from the beautiful Red Warf Bay (Google it)

That will be our final 'big' holiday of the year, although we will try and get away for a short break in November if work and circumstances allow

After all, theres no point in having a caravan sat on the drive if you aint gonna use it...is there?

So we are having three 'proper' holidays this year (a week or longer), and three short breaks

Probabaly cost no more than one normal 'package' holiday would have done
