  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I might at Wal-mart, Babycenter.com and Toys R Us. I have heard that Target is not a good place because it is hard to return things there.
It is. Really hard. Especially if someone got you something not on your registry and didn't give a gift receipt. :sigh: Been there, done that.

We did Wal-Mart, Target, and Babies R Us.

the thing about target... if they won't return it, will they give you store credit for it? thats good enough for me. im there all the time.

another place to register is... www.amazon.com
they have a baby registry!!!!
Target has messed us over with both our wedding resitry AND baby registry. I refuse to register there and advise anyone I know not to either.

They will give you store credit BUT you have to have the GIFT recepit to get the price that was paid for the item otherwise you'll get it for the price the item currently in store. Often times when you register people buy things in advance so the item they bought may be on sale by the time it gets to you and if you don't get the GIFT recepit you lose money as does the person who gave you the gift. If you do not have the recepit they will scan your license and you can only have 2 returns at Target.

Secondly, if you want to exchange anything you can only exchange an item for an item in the same department.

We loved babies R Us, they had much more to choose from and their return policy is great!

They wouldnt even give me store credit. They told me to come back when I had a receipt or the card that the people paid with. Yeah, Target sucks for registries!

I don't register, most of the people who buy for me never check the registries anyway. I am happy with what I get, right now I have NO baby stuff. I gave it all away when my last child(8 years ago) got too old for it. I had no plans for another baby at that time(lol, man time changes things). Most of the things I will get will be hand me downs. Of which I am MOST happy to get.
It amazes me that, with my first child, I wanted everything new and all the gizmos. With my second, still wanted alot of new stuff, but accepted alot of hand me downs. Had quite a few of the gizmos too. Now with this one, I just want the basics, crib, car seat, diapers, and some clothes. I hope this baby doesn't find out, lol.

We registered with target for our wedding and we had absolutely no issues with them whatsoever.

When the time comes I'll most likely register at Target and Babies R Us.
Neither did we. I think I will register at Target and Walmart when the time comes--babies r us is really expensive.

Its funny... people don't really do this over here in Australia.
I work at a baby store and we don't even have anything in place if someone wanted to do it. I mean we could get it going for someone!!!

So I won't be registering anywhere... But i think i will make a list of the cheaper items i want from work and let the person organising the shower know what they are.

I've never registered anywhere... People tend to get me what They want (and if I don't like it, I return it. ;) lol) Plus I guess I don't feel like I "should" register (or ask for a baby shower for that matter) since I've had so many kids already...

You've been married a while, their return policy has changed.

Even if you have a registry with them if you get two of the same item they will not let you exchange.... yes I said exchange. You can't do *anything*. I've heard lots of horrible stories about Target since they changed their return policy.
