I don't know how much I'll post to them, but I was glad to see the advent of open regional forums. That way if there's a topic about a state or local that I want to participate in I can. Thanks for creating the open reigional forums.

Yep! That's why some are not too happy about posting in the Australian forum at the moment. I know I won't be doing as much posting in it if it creates problems with non christians being able to post there. Could be an open invitation for alot of hurt.
Really? Is this really an issue with the Aussie Christian members here?

Hi Erwin,
this is a huge issue for all aussie christians.

We've settled in, and any new comers are welcome as long as they keep the peace. Currently we do prayers and discuss issues within the australian christians, because we have something encommon, also we have Aussie Christians in uni's....

Theres a lot going on...for sure!

If you put a vote in, within the Australian forum, you would see that nearly all our members would vote no.

Thats my say

What Jim says is true Erwin. We have spoken about this and are all in agreement.
We don't want unbelievers of the Creed in our forum. We believe Jesus is the Son of God. And we all have utmost faith in God. We have been happy there, but there is unrest now. I am sorry to have to tell you this. But, it is true.
We just want the Australian Forum to exist in harmony. I haven't the heart to post now that unbelievers are permitted to post there.
And....the thought of having atheists there revolts me to be quite honest.
Forgive my bluntness. But, I am honest in what I say. Sorry Erwin.

You know, Bev, I was wondering why things seemed awful quiet over there. Now I understand and I probably will keep that in mind during future visits. Oh, poo!
Sorry Wolfie...I mean't to send you a pm but we were on msn. We are hurting.
That's why the bounce has gone out of the Aussie forum...and hence my last words in Aussie Walkabout. It will be interesting to just watch now....sorry Wolfie. But we just don't know who is going to post there now. And, we are Christians.

You're judging people before they even post.

It doesn't seem like very christian behaviour to me.
Marissa, she wasn't judging....

you haven't been here long enough to know the personal attacks that happened....and with the walls of protection taken down from that forum. I honestly don't think I have that much confidence any more to talk about things I use to talk about in there....neither does bev and a whole group of other Christians.

I personally think enough is enough, I've been stressed too much

Please, let me explain what I mean't by that statement.

Firstly. Some of my closest personal friends are atheists. And, we have a great deal of fun together. One, I could not be without. So, I have no problem whatsoever with atheists as people.

Icystwolf is right in his statement.

You see, I know that a true atheist does not seek God. And, those who join the forums can cause a great deal of trouble by continual trolling. I have seen this on other forums.
A friend and I on another forum came across two once. I never want to go through that experience again. My friend still emails me about it.
In real life, we reach out to the atheists. My friends know my stance on God, and I know they do not believe, so we leave it at that. I don't try to convert them. They have told me their reasons, and also asked me NOT to try to convert them as they just don't want to hear about it. And, so I know that atheists do not join forums unless they want trouble. Mine, when I asked, looked at me aghast! Yes marissa, I asked atheists to join this forum hopefully, to find God.

But on the forums, I feel we need some protection. Goodness knows, we get enough attacks from the christians!
Muslims on the other hand mainly try to explain their Koran. In one thread here I had a woman shouting "PRAISE ALLAH!!!" at me....struth! I can do without that in my life thankyou! It's a good job I have a sense of humour!

A post equals words.
And, in this case, now that the walls of protection have been taken down when there are so many other places here for them to post....what more can I say.

I think there should be three types of forums....
1. Non-Christians and Christians can chat
2. Christians can chat among Christians
3. Christians can chat among Christians, but also non-Christians can enter to Chat about Christianity ONLY. No debating, just asking questions or requesting information about Christianity. Thats if and only if a non-Christian is interested in Christianity.....

I guess, non-Christians can also voice their opinion on subjects, in a very limited way, but also request what Christians might feel about a certain topic.

The reason why I suggest this, is because I believe , Erwin, your intentions are to evangelise to people. I agree, we all must do that. But opening the forum up all of a sudden sends shivers..... I find it extremely hard to pray on the forum anymore, infact I haven't so far.

Having the 3rd system makes me feel more comfortable to pray, and allows non-Christians to join in and pray.

The last thing I want to see, is an atheist or a pagan religion posting in a middle of a prayer..."I don't believe in prayers, but I'll think about you"....

Thats all I ask....

I think the Australian Forum should be the 3rd catagory,

What does everyone else think?

Aww. And here I was looking forward to starting a thread about Bush Tucker, Ned Kelly, Cane Toads and American vs. Aussie Rules Football. :(

IMO if trolls are messing up a "meet and greet" forum, have the mods tell 'em to cut it out and direct them to the open debate forums. I have family from New England and if there's something in that regions threads I'd like to comment on I'd like to have that ability, but that doesn't mean the regional forums should have to put up with trolling or other non-sense.
