Epistemology: the study of the source and/or validity of knowledge.

From the reformed perspective it is Biblical. Job 35:11 "Who teaches more to us than to the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the air." Remember the boasting Nebuchadnezzar did concerning his great wisdom and power by which, thought he, he had built Babylon? God's judgment overtook him. God deprived him of the gifts of knowledge and wisdom which He had given him. When God had taken from him those gifts, what was left of Nebuchadnezzar?? Read the verse above. He ate grass like an ox and His hair grew long like eagle's feathers. "Who teaches more to us than to the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the air."

Col. 2:3 Christ: "in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Even men who deny God are blessed by Him with the degrees of knowledge and wisdom which they possess. He is kind to the unthankful. That they claim knowledge as their own and glorify themselves for their education does not make it so. God alone is the source of ALL wisdom and knowledge.

and this is in strict accord with the reformation doctrine that all glory for the knowledge of Christ by which men enter into life belongs to and is determined by God alone!!! Job 35:11; 36:22,23; Col. 2:3; 1 Cor 1:30,31; 1 Cor. 2:7-13; Rom. 12:3 These verses are sufficient proof of an epistemology which is strictly biblical, and we reformed people, by God's grace and kindness to us through Christ, hold to it.
