Hi Red Fox. I hope you don't mind my intruding unannounced. Generally speaking, I think that should be water off a duck's back. The eagle and the pigeons thing. If you appreciate your faith enormously I think you're more inclined to feel a bit sorry for people who want to impose their faith on you.


Although that doesn't mean it can't get so that (at least in my case) you want to suggest to them that they don't seem to have enough peace in their heart to be respectful to others. They seem to be 'kicking against the goad' - as if God were trying to prompt them in a certain direction they don't want to go, and they want to drown out his urgings by aggressively asserting their own 'know-all' theology.

Welcome, Paul Becke, to my Talking Circle. And thank you for sharing your insight. I appreciate it very much. I have spent the majority of my personal Christian walk defending myself against false accusations and false assertions about myself and about my own people. I am so sick and tired of having to do that.

As an NDN Christian, I have been criticized and mistreated over the years. I have been told what I believe and what I don't believe by other Christians, who in all honesty, had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. Have you, even if you're not a Christian, had a similar experience with other people trying to tell you what it is you believe or what you don't believe? Would you talk about it with me here within the Circle? I would like to discuss this issue.

However, I'm not going to be talking or answering anymore questions about my ancestor's beliefs or stories on origins in this Circle. If you will read the OP of this Circle, you will see that I do not discuss the spirituality of my ancestors within this Circle, or anywhere else on this site, for that matter. I hope you will understand and respect that.
