I remember that. It began two weeks after I became a Baha'i.

The occupation lasted for 71 days.

That said, I have no idea how to fix the wrongs done to your people. Obviously the land can't be given back at this point.

it would have to be done from the ground up on an individual basis.

it all starts with the transfer of ownership of individual parcels of private property either by gift or by sale.

i have no idea myself. i guess western n culture? Ive never thought about this. i have British and German bloodlines in my family but we dont really celebrate that....i think?
Yeah, most of us Americans are a mixture of things.

I'm mostly Irish and German and a little Native American.

I sometimes wish I had a singular group to call my own.

I guess I have some kind of American suburb cultural thing going on, lol.

That would have to be individuals deciding to do it. To be perfectly honest, were I a landowner I would not give my land away.

yes, that's how it would have to start; one person at a time on an individual basis. Once it is done, the tribe who inherits could decide whether to accept the land and retain it or else put the land on the market.

the reason it is 'doable' in the first place is because there is enough land in Texas for all the citizens of the U. S.

Uh, most of it isn't real useful. If government broke these treaties, why shouldn't they be the ones to pay reparations?

Zstar,

You don't believe that Mary was Jewish then?

Not so - the Zoroastrian text I'm refering to states

"That maiden, who is Gobak-abu, walks up to the water; she that is the mother of that testifying Soshyant who is the guide to conveying away the opposition of the destroyer, and her former lineage is from Vohu-roko-i Frahanyan in the family of Isadvastar, the son of Zartosht that is brought forth by Arang. 16. 'That maiden whose title is All-overpowerer is thus all-overpowering, because through giving birth she brings forth him who overpowers all, both the affliction owing to demons, and also that owing to mankind.' 17. Then she sits in that water, when she is fifteen years old, and it introduces into the girl him 'whose name is the Triumphant Benefiter, and his title is the Body-maker; such a benefiter as benefits (savinedo) the whole embodied existence, and such a body-maker alike possessing body and possessing life, as petitions about the disturbance of the embodied existences and mankind.' 18. Not before that has she associated with men; nor yet afterwards, when she becomes pregnant, has she done so before the time when she gives birth. 19. When that man becomes thirty years old, the sun stands still in the zenith of the sky for the duration of thirty days and nights, and it arrives again at that place where it was appointed by allotment."

The "former lineage", that's not to say Her (Jesus's Mom's) lineage is NOT Jewish but about her root ancestry.

It's my time to talk... Thanks for hearing my reply Circle!

I'm not here to debate this, at least in this topic btw so that's all I got to say in this Circle. Of Course you will believe what you will...

Please don't call me Red. My name is Red Fox. I want to sound harsh, but it's something personal and it's very important to me. Thank you for your understanding. And things aren't so good around my house, because of the snowy weather. I have unhappy, grumpy children who are sick and tired of the snow.

The report follows up on the 2005 Department of Justice report that showed the overall violent crime rate among American Indians and Alaska Natives was 100 per 1,000 persons, meaning that one out of 10 American Indians has been a victim of violence.

The study also found that “American Indians are more likely than people of other races to experience violence at the hands of someone of a different race,” with 70 percent of reported violent attacks committed by non-Indians.

Natives Targeted Most for Hate Crimes

The Lakota People’s Law Project sent out a press release on Wednesday with a 15-page report detailing the unequal treatment of Native Americans under the United States criminal justice system. The report is comprised of key findings and proposed steps of action to alleviate issues such as extraneous violent crime against Natives and unfair police treatment. Following this important release, key players in the fight against such discrimination led a Native Lives Matter march in Rapid City, South Dakota which attracted 100 people.
Report: Native Americans most likely to be killed by police

Oklahoma Indian activist Brenda Golden said the reason Indians figure so highly among race groups for incidents on hate crimes is that natives are historically viewed as scapegoats in the American conscience. "People are gonna prey on the weak," she said."And we are weak because of 500 years of oppression." Golden said that resentment from general society characterizes Indians as receiving ill-deserved social benefits like food, health care and casino dividends. With these misperceptions, others view Indians as prime targets that arise from frustration and other factors. "People think we get all these benefits when don’t," she said. "And they also associate us with the past...that we killed white people indiscriminately when we were fighting for our land."
