Many indigenous peoples the world over have creation stories about a Sacred Hoop that originally encircled the world and all the creatures, rocks, and plants within it as Relations. Through human actions including enslavement and exploitation, forced relocation of whole populations, pollution of water, air and earth, pillage of natural resources and indiscriminate destruction of animal and human habitats, the Sacred Hoop has been broken.

Today our world faces a crisis as never before in human history. Everywhere people are hurting and killing each other because they are different colors, speak different languages, follow different religions. In addition, because of our technological "advances," we are literally capable of making the planet uninhabitable for ourselves.

Many people are working to address pieces of the problem, but few (other than indigenous elders) are asking the question: How may the Sacred Hoop be mended? We suggest that the spiritual perspective of the Old Ways is an important resource for people working to affect change, to help us see how our pieces of the work are connected in a larger framework, and to support healing on both personal and societal levels.

I think that way a lot myself, especially when I am in Oklahoma visiting my family. I was told my ancestors, through the blood line of my birth mother, traveled the Trial of Tears, and that very few survived it. And since I am Choctaw as well, I cannot help but wonder if my ancestors from that blood line traveled that death trial, too.



I am reassured to know that the L-rd will undo all the damage done to his creation in his name.

I have been very grieved by these things that have happened. As children of God, we are supposed to display the face & nature of Yeshua, and all these horrors serve to put a terrible halloween-like mask over his beautiful face.

I hope I don't speak out of turn here, but one thing that I've admired about the Jewish tradition is that they believe in tikkun olam, the complete and total restoration of the broken creation. It is taught that the world was shattered, and through the deeds of kindness that we do, we put back the shattered pieces one by one. Anyway, the Broken Hoop post reminded me of that, very similar hopes.

I was going to say, don't be afraid of facing Him.....but maybe that's a glib thing to say. I know one time I felt the presence of the Lord very strongly, and I was both delighted and terrified at the same time. I wanted to run away from Him, but I was hoping with all my might that I wouldn't run away. I think I realized that he knew everything I wished he didn't know ....but I realized, too, that he loved me so much more dearly than anything that might be unlovable about me.

I think when you face Him, he will comfort you....as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him....and his tender mercies are new every morning.

I think we all here sympathise with the terrible anti-semitism that is worldwide and I pray daily for Israel to come to see the solution is in their rightful king, Y'shu/'Jesus' at his return... I am so perplexed that Israel of all peoples do not recognise their king :-

Ezekiel 37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:

Do you see what I am saying here, these are Israel's own prophets, and I have never found a single Jew willing to look at this massive problem of ignoring their own Torah and prophets.... it is a mystery to me most deep and I am hoping that you at last can shed some light in my understanding of this, which is a CENTRAL issue in this very ring of friends, since Y'shua is of course a Jew and many of the firstfruits of the spirit are prophesied to be Jews ... the rest being scattered world-wide and having lost their identity as even belonging to Israel at all... after three millenia and many generations, the House of Israel just disappeared as a name, yet their descendants must be true non-Jewish Israelites scattered amongst the nations, as God has said, and living as gentiles amongst whatever nation they moved into [unlike the Jews who maintained identity though Judaism]

I believe the times are changing, my friend. I was present two years ago at a conference of Yeshua-believing, spirit-filled Jews; I felt the resurrection power of God packed into that room......it says in Romans that their rejection of the Messiah in some mysterious way brought about great riches for we Gentiles, and "how much more will their acceptance be!" ....."As life from the dead....."

I believe there was a season when rejection was permitted because it somehow brought benefit to others, now acceptance will be brought about to bring even greater benefit to others.

One of my favorite verses in Rev. says, "And the leaves of the tree shall be for the healing of the nations."

I would like you to wear this one day , not to honour yourself, but to honour the many brave 'red-skinned' men who have died trying to live in peace against a tide of greed.... I would ask thee then to keep it in thy heart that you would one day honour them by wearing it FOR THEM as they would honour what you have achieved here already from one tiny seed of love from you heart, and your humility to pray fro all races, even those who abused your people to come together as one eventually through Y'shua, the Christ, by the awesomely clever plan of God which shall be unveiled in the inner circle as this circle grows to encompass the whole world...

Do you see it now, as Ivy has explained to us, we are the wheel within the wheel, servants of all men ,even though they might abuse us ... we do not care about their abuse, we go straight forward in love...

Many have died already doing this and we have been driven to such tears for them that we Will follow the Way of love commanded by Jesus... we shall if thou wilt, here learn PERFECT love and be worthy of Y'shua's gift of love in us ...

I am right well pleased and have given out the love I was given and much indeed came back now to give away freely again... it is a feedback that will soon just snowball around the whole globe, for the internet reaches most peoples these days, even downtrodden ones....

This is a Great Work born from Love set within thee by the Great spirit, someone had to start it and He chose the purity of thy heart as the place that could bear power without losing humility... be grounded in that then and we move forward apace now, for the pace quickens, slow at first and then more and more... be content then to delegate, and ask me about the Great Spirit who has seen fit to choose this unworthy vessel to walk beside thee as they brother and fellow servant of all... lean on me if needs be, seek my counsel, but ye needs not follow it, it is only my perspective and what is given me to help in this project with what little skill i have yet...

..and yes, I believe Rev 7:3-8 shows that some tens of thousands of Jews [most now dead of course, but perhaps around a thousand or so alive now] will be take to spirit [after resurrection if they died] at the return of Y'shua...

That leaves the others [perhaps a larger number] made up of the descendants of the House of Israel, scattered in all nations, like the Jews, but now living as gentiles, never adopting Judaism ...

the scripture talks of them re-emerging and making the Jews jealous

Deuteronomy 32:21 I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

And Jesus himself says he was sent to this 'disappeared' nation, not to the Jews, which would seem strange until one sees that it is the House of Israel who convinces a remnant of Jews to acceept Y'shua as their Messiah...

the relevance to this thread is that all ,who are saved at Jesus' return who are now living as gentiles, must then be of the House of Israel ... no-one who isn't an Israelite is taken first, and the rest don't even start perfecting their love in trial until after the second resurrection, when God first gets the opportunity to baptise all flesh [Joel 2:28] ...

The implication then is that there is gonna be a billion and more highly deluded 'sinner xtians' [oxymoron, since all who follow Y'shua are saints - 2 Timothy 2:19 ] who are very disappointed and left gnashing their teeth at his return, and ironically they who called all other sinners 'unbelievers' get redeemed in the new earth, not know... and try as one might one cannot save them from their dogmatic beliefs in sinners .... is that ironic or what ?

God really cracks me up, He says something and one goes away awhile, and then later it dawns what he was talking about ,leaves me creased up in hysterics sometime, awesome sense of humour our God

Yes its strange , but i have met only a few 'messianic Jews' who even believe the House of Israel exists, it seems most think it rejoined the Jews already, but scripture says otherwise :-

Deuteronomy 28:64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

So they didn't return to Judaism at all, God says so...

The only sense in which that can be true is that the Jews were scattered amongst the gentiles so that the gentiles benefit in knowing that they will be redeemed too [Rev 7:9-10], just long after the remnant of Israel , after the second resurrection... the thing that I don't get yet though is that it seems to imply that the reminder of Israel, who die sinners, are also redeemed only after the second resurrection....

As I see it, the only possible benefit is to know that one will be redeemed after death, and not in this world, if one is truly a gentile, but about one in a million gentiles is an Israelite by descent, and only living as a gentile... Y'shua has said who he will take and who not in Matt 7 and Paul confirms in 2 Timothy 2:19 that all sinners will be rejected ... one really does have to give up sin to follow Y'shua

Well what it says to me is that ,since Israel is redeemed first to be the priesthood , as promised to Moses [Ex 19:6] ,that the gentiles are saved by the perfect ministry by Israel... a final humiliating irony to modern sinner religion ...nut you can't turn these people, I've tried fr some ten years now, they cannot see it even if you put it in front of them and spoon-feed it... religion has that much grasp on them ...[/FONT]
