• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Recording my improvements (but still have a ways to go)

Okay so I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia, but have tried a lot of medicines and the improvements are mild. However, besides taking medicine, I have also been studying the Bible. I’d say the improvements I have from faith rival my improvements from medicine, is what I’m saying. But I do both.

I am not perfect, and am also not as perfect as your everyday normal person. But I am improving. My psychiatrist focuses on my improvements instead of my faults. He even once went so far as to say that I am improving at such a rapid rate, one day I might not even have bad symptoms.

Anyway, something which I do have is spiritual attacks. When I joined these forums and was a new Christian, I went back and forth between being a Christian and an Atheist every week. I have now gotten to the point where I just have problems with my faith about once a month.

A darkness has been lifted from me though. I see how the darkness tries to seep back in, but I have made improvements. I am gaining a little bit of stability as well in terms of not being either in disbelief or in a state of being overzealous all the time. Both states have on occasion made me look really stupid, even if what I was saying was true.

Western med tends to deal with isolated drugs to treat symptoms...also using bandages and surgeries. They observe traits and diagnose, using information and research to steer you to their ideal of health.
I'm aware you posted this under 'praise reports' and I just wanted to say that. Eastern seems to use things people might consider more abstract as they balance things with nutrition and whole foods and practices such as acupuncture needles and nature and movement.

But I would like you to understand and believe the Bible as it's written. There's much in there I expect you aren't aware of.

Hi; you mentioned stability: daily prayer and the Scriptures can help in this way a great deal. :)
