How about the chronicals of narina, I know they are kids books, but they are hard to put down.

I would agree here, just recently read all 7,had never read them as a child, also the first 12 books in the Left Behind series, did not care at all for the recently released 3 "prequels". After getting the first in the series from the libary, was "antsy to continue,so never made that mistake again, and reserved them several at a time until I was through the series after that! A lot of very late nights/early mornings, and very strange dreams, from starting the next as soon as I finished one,LOL! This Present Darkness and Piercing The Darkness by Frank Peretti, The List by Robert Whitlow, Showdown by Ted Dekker Prayer Warriors and Gaurdians by Celeste Perrino Walker, for fiction, and The Port Of Two Brothers by Paul Schelner for non fiction.

Anything by Chuck Palahniuk, Frank Peretti, some of Michael Crichton's early stuff, same for John Grisham. Orson Scott Card's Sci-Fi series "Ender's Game" is really good oh and this guy named Chris McBreen is writing a series about a superhero in Philadelphia. Hope I've been some help.

I'm just finishing up book 3 of the Annies People series by Beverly Lewis. I've loved everything she has written. Her characters are normally Amish and she really does her research. Her books can make you yearn for a life less complicated.

I've also just discovered Karen Kingsbury. I'm on the 4th book of a series she has written with Gary Smalley. They are very good and incorporate a lot of current history.

Anything by Dekker is great. Just read SKIN. It's wild,
Also, just read NINETEEN MINUTES by Jodi Picoult and A NEW KIND OF NORMAL by Carol Kent. NINETEEN MINUTES is a fictional account of a a school shooting; A New Kind of Normal is a Christian woman's nonfiction treatment of her son's incarceration for killing his wife's ex-husband. Both are riveting.
There as so many good books out there!

Any thing by Dee Henderson and Frank Peretti (I hope I spelled that right) I also like Colfer's books

I just finished reading Twilight and New Moon. They were amazing! I could not put them down. I finished twilight durring school and didn't stop reading New moon until I finished it (roughly 4 hours later) they are kinda long though. roughly 500 pages each.
