One DS game that was surprisingly good is Lunar Knights. The only reason I picked it up was because it had that little Kojima Productions fox sign in the corner and I was just buying the DS, so I needed a game. It's kind of a Metal Gear Solid with vampires and spaceships geared towards the younger audience. Though short, it's a very solid game.
Currently I'm playing Pokemon Diamond. If you liked the previous games, you will like this one too. I was kind of disappointed with the way they implemented the touch screen. I find that they forgot to add functionality to it in certain areas (where you're using the stylus and then are forced to switch back to buttons) and I thought they could have gone further with it in general. Oh well, you can't have it all.
A game I'm really excited about that's coming to the DS though is Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings. It looks awesome!
