Truth is, many people are suspicious of the current voting process. Many people suspect one side is cheating and the same side seems to want to make sure the means to do so remains.
Voter ID for all voters. Only Citizens can vote.

Cheating would require that the Party not cheating is totally incompetent at catching the cheating party.

I would rather be an incompetent good person than a cheat. Any day.

...speaking of foolishness:

Supervisors in Mohave County in western Arizona on Monday refused to certify the results of the 2022 election, delaying the decision in what some called a "political statement" to show dissatisfaction with how the election was run in the Phoenix area.
Another heavy red county is also playing games. Best part -- if they don't certify, the counties' votes will be thrown out, potentially benefitting Democratic state candidates.

Here's one for the mixed ballots:

Note that they quote the AZ AG.

For the pattern of failure (the machines worked the night before and started failing after 30 minutes), you'd probably consider my source for that questionable. But it fits with something I just learned a few minutes again: the failures was due to printing issues:

It states technicians fixed the problem, but doesn't say what the problem was. Possibly began running out of toner?

I looked into it, and while it appears something of the sort occurred, Maricopa has officially reconciled the counted vote with the votes cast (as part of their usual processes), so the count is accurate.
Yep.

Gates said that there were two vote centers where ballots “co-mingled” – but said that the county has a process to separate them out.
“There were two vote centers where the ballots that went into box three were actually co-mingled with the ballots that went through the tabulator. Now here is the thing, we can absolutely address this and we will. In those two instances we know exactly how many people checked in at that vote center. We can then check the total number of ballots that were left there, either tabulated or in box three, and determine if they’re the same. We can segregate those out and make a determination and best thing of all is that we will do this with a Republican and Democrat observers watching this to make sure everything that checks out,” he said.
And addressing the suggestion from Masters that the county should wipe the slate clean and start counting over again, Gates said that “is simply not allowed for under Arizona law.”
Gates is currently at an undisclosed location because of threats.

The last I heard, the root cause for randomeprinters not printing dark enough for the poll tabulator to read is still under investigation. The sitting AG did ask for a report this week...which is nothing more than political grand standing. If he really wants to know, provide the time needed to properly investigate. In any case, all of those affected ballots were counted. To date, no one has presented evidence to a court of law that would suggest otherwise.

...now the GOP candidate for Attorney General has filed a lawsuit -- asking a judge to essentially force the Secretary of State to do what Arizona law already prescribes her to do (go figure)....certify the winner, but only if he comes out ahead!

Republican attorney general candidate Abe Hamadeh has filed a legal complaint asking a judge not only to prevent certification of the Nov. 8 election results but, if appropriate, also to certify the election to Hamadeh.

The complaint was filed Tuesday in Maricopa County Superior Court by Hamadeh, who was joined by the Republican National Committee.

The contestees include the candidate now leading the attorney general race, Democrat Kris Mayes, as well as Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbes and other elections officials.

Hamadeh trails Mayes by 510 votes with all of Arizona's ballots counted. The race is already headed to an automatic recount, per state law, because the vote differential between the candidates is less than .05 of a percentage point. The recount will occur after the certification of election results Dec. 5.

Hamadeh is asking the court to prevent the certification of the attorney general's race as it stands now. It asks for "an injunction ... prohibiting the Secretary of State from declaring the Contestee elected to the office of Arizona Attorney General or from issuing to Contestee a certificate of election."

He also asked the court to compel the secretary of state to certify the election results in his favor if the final count puts him ahead.

"An injunction ... requiring the Secretary of State to declare Contestant Abraham Hamadeh elected to the office of Arizona Attorney General and to issue to Contestant a certificate of election."

Liz Harris, who was recently elected to represent District 13 in the East Valley, says that she will not vote in the state legislature unless the election is redone.

Despite winning her own election, Harris alleges that there were "clear signs of foul play" which necessitated her demands. There has been no evidence of this.

It's not the first time that Harris has been involved in trying to overturn the results of an election.

After losing to incumbents Jennifer Pawlik (D) and Jeff Weninger (R) in the 2020 general election, Harris began a "Grassroots Canvass Report" to investigate baseless allegations of voting errors in order to decertify the results of both the state legislature and presidential elections.
A strategy all house republicans should adopt.

Today was the deadline for Arizona's 15 counties to complete the vote canvas and report their elections results to the Arizona Secretary of State. All of the counties, including the largest, Maricopa County, did so...except one: Cochise County

On a 2-1 vote, the Cochise County Board of Supervisors voted to delay certification of the Nov. 8 election results. The decision means the county won't meet its deadline to report results to the state.
Instead, they are calling for a Friday special meeting with presentations from the Arizona secretary of state and a collection of people who earlier this month complained about problems with the accreditation of the firms that certify election tabulation machines.

The Secretary of State has previously indicated the state would sue any county that refused to report their results by today (as required by statute). As of this writing, no lawsuit has been filed. Additionally, the supervisors could face prosecution:

The law in question says any public official who refuses to carry out election law, or who knowingly violates law related to elections, is subject to a Class 6 felony.

Meanwhile, another group has sued the county board:

The Arizona Alliance for Retired Americans filed a suit in Cochise County Superior Court on Monday asking for an order to county supervisors to canvass their election by Thursday.

The Alliance, which previously won a suit blocking a planned hand recount of ballots in the county, also included a voter from the county as a plaintiff, and named Supervisors Peggy Judd, Tom Crosby and Anne English as defendants. English voted against further delay of the canvass earlier Monday.

The lawsuit simply states that the supervisors' duty to canvass the election is not discretionary and the defendants should be ordered to complete the canvass.

Cochise is the only one of Arizona's 15 counties not to certify its results.

Update - Chochise County, AZ ....and in PA

Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, who was elected this month to be Arizona's next governor, filed court papers also asking a state court to order the county's supervisors to certify by Thursday so that Hobbs can complete the statewide certification by Dec. 8, the last possible day allowed after the Dec. 5 deadline under state law.

"Absent this Court's intervention, the Secretary will have no choice but to complete the statewide canvass by December 8 without Cochise County's votes included," Hobbs' attorneys wrote in a court filing. "Thus, the Board's inaction not only violates the plain language of the statute, but also undermines a basic tenet of free and fair elections in this state: ensuring that every Arizonan's voice is heard."

And in northeastern Pennsylvania's Luzerne County, some 117,000 votes may end up left out of official results after the local board of elections deadlocked along party lines when its fifth member, a Democrat, abstained from voting on whether to certify. Monday is the state's certification deadline for counties that have not received legally valid recount petitions.

Pennsylvania's Department of State has contacted the county's officials "to inquire about the board's decision and their intended next steps," spokesperson Ellen Lyon said in an email.

That’s why I support Trump. With all the Dems and several Republicans against him, he can’t be wrong on everything… like we’re experiencing now.
But sometimes everyone's against you because youre wrong on everything.

It's important to remember that there is at LEAST a faction of Republicans who have been actively trying to undermine democracy.

A recent study showed that the typical pattern of folks aging and moving to the right on the political spectrum is not happening; ie, the typical replenishing of conservative values and voters is not happening the ways it used to.

Certainly foresight has shown them that if they want to maintain power they are going to have to find other ways, besides counting on "getting more votes".

I cant say i remember seeing any appealing legislation coming from Republicans that's designed to improve thr lives of working and middle class americans.

Look at the situation we're in... do you believe that's the case now?
100%

Trump was a desperation move toward a con man who promised the world to people who felt they were losing the world.
