  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Download: A Bunch of Dream Theater and Arch Enemy - Love it! Def going on the to-buy list.

Bought: Iced Earth - The Glorious Burden. It was ok. Liked the 32 Min. Epic at the end, but not as good as their previous work.

Looking to Buy: B L A Z E - As live as it gets

nice, though i've noticed that Dimmu Albums that are three words put together seem to be their worst (Puritianical...Enthrone...Death Cult...well, you know) And Immortal has the be the most outrageous BM band, image wise, but they know how to make a good metal song so nothing to complain about.

I just got

Blind Guardian - Nightfall
Dream Theater - Once In a Livetime

Also nice, i haven't heard Nightfall, but i have heard other Blind Guardian, some good power metal right there. As for Dream Theater, well, they just plain kick ****, and don't need any kind of introduction or explanation from me...

Enjoy Your Rabbit -- Sufjan Stevens
Blood on the Tracks -- Bob Dylan
Both of those are absolutely brilliant. Blood On the Tracks is probably my favorite Dylan record (though Blonde On Blonde and Highway 61 are close behind). And Enjoy Your Rabbit is sheer genius. I've heard TheTheory call it the most important album of recent years, and I'm not sure I can really disagree. I think if more people listened to it, music itself would change drastically.

I'm excited for you.
