CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

dude. i saw him on SNL also, and i thought he was cool. Then, i saw his cd at starbucks. i didn't buy it there, because it was expensive. But i picked it up, kind of on a whim. I don't usually buy music i haven't listened to, because i can't afford to spend $$ on music that i won't even listen to, but i was pleasantly surprised.philN said:

"Lost and Safe" by The Books is the last album I bought, and it's wonderful. The best Books album so far, probably. "None But Shining Hours" is an absolute masterpiece, and maybe my favorite song of the year so far.

I haven't bought a CD since I scored a Yes album a little while ago, but I did buy a single last week. It's 'The Other Side' by Breaks Co-op. I really love this song..........

I bought a Vanilla Muffins 7" a month ago and I fell in love immediately, so I am very excited to get all this. I had to omit two 7"s and one LP due to the language -- let's just say it was a big day for music purchasing.
I hope to order up some more next week; depends on a lot of things. I have some fat cash right now so I am in the mood to order up more and more and more. Music is an addiction.
