CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

well I didn't exactly buy it, but the most recent CD I've gotten is "rosenrot" by the german band Rammstein. they're a really great heavy metal band and they have really great lyrics and vocals, completely opposite of American heavy metal.
Oh and by the way, "rosenrot" is german for Red rose.

That's kind of how I feel about Make-up the Breakdown. I went through a time when I would only listen to Christian music (mostly pop/punk), but then a friend introduced me to Hot Hot Heat and I started d/ling songs by Interpol and Guster and it was all downhill from there...The Theory said:

Most recent one: "Up" by R.E.M. I got it used for about half the price -awesome.
"What You Can't Leave Behind" by U2 -I know, it's really not all that great but it was cheap, so, I thought I'd get it anyway. Wonder why.
Fugees -greatest hits -another bargain! You have no idea what cds cost in Finland.....
"Stand Up" and "Crash" by DMB plus "Some Devil" by Dave Matthews (solo). The first one is okay but doesn't exactly blow my mind. Love the other two. I want to get ALL of them but Mr. Santa told me he's only gonna get me christian music, which sucks 'cause there are exactly two christian bands I like. That means no White Stripes either. Santa, you stink.
