Recent Cd purchases

Good to hear some people still care for vinyls, why does everyone want cds? They have smaller artwork, everyone can copy them, and they don't sounds as organic as vinyls.

Vinyl is great-- I love the larger artwork, the warm analog sound, and the relatively low cost (which unfortunately seems to be changing...) CD also has its merits though; for instance, I can't listen to LPs in my car or in my cubicle at work. Some CDs have artwork, photos, and liner notes that aren't available on the LP. I find that it's almost as easy for me to copy vinyl to MD (my preferred portable format) as it is to copy CD to MD, so if friends have LPs that I want I can still copy them. There's a lot more upkeep and cleaning involved in maintaining a good LP collection-- lots of babying is necessary to preserve the format...

Yes, you can copy it as well, but you can't copy it onto vinyl.
