We are told they were making bricks.
Bricks are used for things besides pyramids.

Furthermore, looking into it, the timing would have been wrong for them to be making pyramids. The Exodus is normally dated to the 12th/13th century BC by historians who believe in it, and the Bible says that the Israelites came to Egypt 400 years before, which would be the 16th/17th century BC. But pyramid building had largely stopped by then, and only restarted long after the Israelites left. It would therefore be very unlikely that they would have been making pyramids. I suppose it's not impossible, as I don't think pyramid construction completely stopped--but it would have been unlikely, and I don't see any reason to insist on something that is not even stated by the Bible.

They do not use bricks for pyramids. They know the area that the Hebrew people lived in and there are no pyramids in that area.
Oh, wait--you were agreeing with me? I am sorry. I misunderstood your message and thought you were trying to cite the reference to them making bricks as proof that they built pyramids.
