NOPE!!!!!! I have had MANY, (most), try to TELL ME that they don't really CARE what the Bible says, they are going to believe what they WANT to believe regardless. Fortunately I found one that is more than satisfied to put God first in her life and me second. And you'd be amazed how much she's learned concerning the TRUTH.
IOW, you found one of those weak willed silly little bits of chattel that will bow to any man, simply because he is a man. You could be an alcoholic brute, and still she would "recognize" your authority.
I have seen women like her in women's shelters...and in hospitals. And yes, many of them had "Christian" husbands.
God never intended for women to be second class citizens.
The injunction for women to submit to their husbands is very quickly followed by instructions for the husband to love his wife as Christ loves the church. He is to reverence her, not "lord it over" her.
And, did you know? Husband and wife are equals, yes, even in the marriage bed.
I've met a few men with your attitude, yes, even a few Christian men. They tend to be bullies.
And you know what they say...scratch a bully, and you'll find a coward.
Guys with this attitude are generally not very secure in their own manhood.

They actually had to fire a guy twice, like the man you are referring to. He appealed to the Board of Directors. They all said no. He calls up his boss, and talks and talks and talks. The men know he is wrong. The women know he is wrong. Still this guy treatens to get a judge to get his way. He wants to come back. He wants to work again. Finally, his former Boss Sylivia, said to him. Your rights have not been violated. You are a docent. You did this to yourself. You created a hostile work environment. The guys fired you twice for stalking. They have now fired you for creating a hostile work environment also. Now, you want to get a judge to sue them. They don't have any money. Go for it.
The amazing part is just how far some people go, despite error after error after error. Never, other than in those who want everyone not to believe in God, never have I seen actions like these. If two people like this were working for me, soon they would be gone, as logic does not exist, only dogma, personal dogma, and pesonal opinions.
I have been given the opportunity over the years to work with JW's and Mormons. I am an expert of some to most JW, tactics and theology. These men are using the very same ways as JW's use. First they take the most bogus translation of Scripture, and then defend that. And defend it. And defend it. Never once do they care if is right, and if you ask them questions they insult me and leave in a huff. These men insult and leave, the conversations. Jehovah's Witnesses always insult and leave the conversations with me.
Real or not, these guys fit well with those kinds of guys, in their actions. In their actions.
When ~The Holy Spirit one day guided David in what to say, David Said this: God The Father said to His Son, Jesus, who is also Lord, just like his dad, sit here on my right side, until I make your enemies a footstool for you.~ In another statement in Psalms ~God The Father says to God The Son, ask of me anything, you who are my son, the only son I have who is not adopted by me, you who are of me, ask me anything and I will give it to you. I will give to you as an inheritance all the pagans, all the genitiles of the world. Jesus, the only son of His Father, accepts that inheritance. He then speaks~ Those words are in Psalms 2.
For you, God is not only an attribute like being a carpenter, it is a job like being a carpenter. Everyone here banters around the idea of God, as being a person, like a carpenter is a person, but everyone here seems to think, a carpenter can never be a person also.
In once case Jesus Christ is talking to a woman in the last century. Her name is Faustina. He tells her in one of their one on one conversations: "When I am God, I am something else." He is clearly telling her, that although he treats her just like any guy would treat her, when He has to do the job of God, he does the job of God, and he is not that personable in that role.
God did not die 2000 years ago, in the sense that He no longer exists, and God always existed in heaven even when Jesus died, so did The Holy Spirit exist, when Jesus died. God did not cease to exist.
God can and does talk to people on earth, it is in Acts of The Apostles. He has not stopped talking to some of us. And yet, with all of that, someone or sometwo's would like to use one of the two poorest translations of Greek, into English, and defend that, with thier lives and their insults, as though everyone one hear is their enemy.
Stop someday. Please stop. It will be easier on you, if you stop, than if you are stopped. Do you really think you are tougher than God? One day, if you do not stop, He will have to.
If you think He has not stopped you and therefore He must be weak, or He must be asleep, rather remember how long he waited to stop Sodom and Gamorrah. It wasn't until they had completely proven to God, that they were not going to change. God does not want to hurt. He has to protect others, yet He waits a very long time, even letting good people get hurt, before He corrects what He now must, to protect everyone else. That is the Goodness of God, on display.
