RTS games are fun, but I have found a lot of them consist of unit rushes and clickfests. Do not get me wrong, I enjoy Heroes: Soldiers of WWII a lot and I am looking forward to the release of Wartime Command. But titles like RON get boring after a bit. Lately, I have been playing the city builders, e.g. Pharaoh, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, Anno1503, and soon to be Children of the Nile.

thats my fave type of game.
I enjoy RTS games. My favorites are the Command and Conquer series, Starcraft, Mech Commander 1 and 2, and Rise of Nations.

Earth 2150 all the way for me. It has to be the best sleeper RTS ever made IMO. It's just too bad the manual stinks so badly. I think the learning curve turns a lot of people off but once you learn what all you can do, it's capable of some deep strategy and tactics.

I really like SC and AoE games but I'm not much of a quick thinker and like to take my time so I don't do well at them and prefer games that let you issue orders while paused. I love being able to virtually plan a whole battle, issue complex sets of orders to my platoons, production facilities, then watch things unfold, intervening when necessary. Pulling the enemy's forces into a "battle" with cheap dummy units so he uses all his ammo, cutting off his supply lines then destroying him at my lesuire. ;)

 I think I'll reinstall and play Earth 2150 again after thinking about it. :D
