I think Hebrews 1:1-2 disagrees with you and I don't think you can show me any teaching in the Bible that supports what you believe. There is a difference between the prophetic gift and a prophet. "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ."
I assure you that tthe fulfillment of this last condition and the return of our Lord will coincide.

Hazen Foss and William Foy were contemporaries of EGW. She died in 1915. If we deny Heb. 1:1-2 and refuse to see the distinction between the prophetic gift and the office of a prophet we do the church a disservice. I submit to you that the prophetic gift has been in operation all along but we have found a way to ignore it. Have you ever heard someone ask, "Do you think you are a prophet?"
