Reacher

Just finished Reacher on Prime Video. If you are a fan of the books, this is your show. The actor playing Reacher read all the books, and does an admirable job. First season is based on The Killing Floor, and while not my favorite of the franchise, was really well done.

At least he looks like Reacher should. I've only seen some excerpts but it looks like there are at least a couple of people who are regularly part of the story. This might seem like an odd comparison but I think of Reacher not in the sense of Raylan Givens in Justified where there was a supporting group of actors and a story arc that continued through the series. I think him more like a guy who has a completely different story each week with a completely new set of characters.

This will show my age, but I was thinking of the loner who wanders the country having a new 'adventure' ' each week - like the old black and white western tv series Cheyenne with Clint Walker (another huge man of few words).

He’s in the vein of Givens. Justified is one of my favorite series. This, I think, will be more like that. I assume each season will be based on one of the books.
