Muslims also say that they believe in one "god." Does that mean that because we say we believe in one "god," that we believe the same. Of course not.
So also with the word "Allah." And when the two religions define their god in radically different ways, THAT IS WHAT DETERMINES if they acclaim the same god or not.
Cool your jets. There's absolutely NO reason to be so uncharitable, and if I were you, I'd apologize to me. I'm just letting people know that "Allah" means God in Arabic, since people keep calling the Muslim God "Allah" as if it pertains only to the Muslim God. It does not; it simply means "God" in Arabic. People suggesting that "Allah" means only the Muslim God disrespect our Arab Christian brethren. Furthermore, I never said it was the same God. I'm saying that linguistically it is used for the same purposes: a God of monotheism.
