Having had many Hamsters (loooooove them) you may want to change her name to: "Lotsa Poop"

I know, she poops everywhere. Actually, my husband has always called me "Cute Poop". Seeing as she looks just like me, he decided to call her "Little Poop".

Yeah, they are very loveable...I had one that would come to her cage door as soon as she heard me come home and I would take her out and put her on my shoulder.

She was also an acrobat (I had a three tier cage for her - yep, she lived like a princess) she would swing from one level to another on her little legs all the way down and then run up the steps and do it again...she also loved spaghetti.

Yep!! Rodents LOVE to chomp on raw pasta - any shape but spaghetti is the most fun to watch!

The only rodent pets I've ever had are hamsters. After hearing about what good pets rats are, I think that might be my next pet.

Rats are fun and wonderful pets! I think the thing that creeps people out, aside from the original thinking of them being vermin, is the tail... once you get past or ignore the tail, they are quite charming.

Incidentally, there are serious rat breeders and clubs that show rats -- they are registered and pedigreed, just like dogs. If you were to buy a rat from such a breeder, it would be on a contract stating that you are buying the rat as a pet and promise not to breed it.

Rats from good breeders are generally healthier and have much better temperaments than those from a pet shop; they are handled from birth and raised to be pets, not mass-produced with the intention of being snake food. Rats from these good breeders come in dumbo ears (large ears on the side of the head) as well as standard ears; rex coat (wavy), standard, satin, or no coat at all (hairless); and wonderful colors like Russian blue, dove, cinnamon, mink, fawn, platinum, chocolate, silver and siamese.

Rats are real cute, there r some things they cant have e.g Blue Cheese. We know, we posted on a good website, the NZ Rat Club. Rats might be popular, they might make good pets but because of their discusting reputation as what they r in the wild ppl dont buy them often enough. We have a really cool rat who turns 1 this year, his name is Elvis and when he was born his owner thought he looked like Elvis Presley. He is a agouti and white hooded rat. Elvis always gets called cute where ever he goes and Elvis's owner appreciates that comment. We r goin to have more rats running around the room when Garfield is shut out and cant get in, thats what we do with Elvis. Their names r Buddy Holly (mine), Bob Marley and Elton. Here r pictures of them, personally I think Buddy Holly is so cute.
