I think it's fantastic. M. Night Shyamalan knows how to regulate his suspense and terror so you're scared properly and can still sleep soundly at night. The use of puppets and manual things to generate fear in Signs is brilliant simply because it proves you don't need computer graphics to get the audience to freak out.
It was choppy in it's editing in some places, and sometimes the dialect was wanting, but it still ranks as one of my top 10.
