Rapture dreams

Yep, these are the kind of dreams I had often before I came to know the Lord. We were living in utter sin and still we had these type of demon induced dreams; we called them 'out of body' experiences. They are so "real" ! But they are really illusions. Many astral psychic types talk about them alot.
Since I've been in Christ I rarely have had them. Christ has removed these deceptions from me. I am however amazed at how many "Christian" are still influenced by such demonic stuff and don't even recognize its true source.

Well, well this is definitely and intriguing thread. Mostly because of reading people's opinions on OOB's.

OOB's happen in sleeping as well as waking periods. It is referenced in the Bible and I recall doing a study of it when I got put back into my body by the Lord. Yep, you read that right.

First of all check out the Sword of the Spirit and the dividing line between the spirit and soul. Do a study in the Strong's without any preconcieved ideas.

I spent most of my life partially out of my body because of extreme abuse. I had become a Christian prior to being poured back into my body. During that time I experienced discernment that I thought was very common among Christians. I constantly saw demons and angels. I could feel them spiritually even when i couldn't see them. I could also sense the presence of the Lord very plainly especially during spiritual warfare. It was very comforting.

When I was poured back into my body, which was part of my healing from the abuse, I had a very distasteful couple of months. For the first time I could feel my flesh. I recongnized the sinfulness of flesh, not just my sinful actions but the real flesh.

I had to learn to eat all over again because I kept stabbing my face with the fork. For a while I had to use a spoon to keep from injuring myself. I had to learn to walk all over again and it took me some time to do so. I didn't know that my body had boundaries and when I bumped into something and it hurt, I was surprised.

There was a time within the first couple of days I mourned for the absence of my prior condition. I hated being in my body so much I was in tears to the Lord. His response?

He reminded me of Isaiah 53, the foreshadowing of what Christ would suffer. He said, "My Holy Son knew no sin, He was at my side before He was born into a human body and He took on the sins of the whole world. How do you think He felt?"

Now granted, I didn't like the answer He gave me but it was a reminder for me that if Jesus could do it and had been through it then He would be with me through my difficulties.

As for the demonic? When someone suffers trauma, which is how many of the OOB's come about to those who aren't seeking them, sometimes there is a part of you that seperates from the body and if satan gets a foothold he can keep that trauma intact and keep you outside of it. Almost half dead, half alive.

I haven't had any since I got poured back in almost a decade ago. I can tell you that it still feels odd. I miss being able to feel God instead of having to trust that He is there. I also miss being able to feel when a demon is getting ready to attack or being able to see him so I know what to bind and rebuke immediately. It took me quite a while to adjust and the biggest difficulty I had was faith that God was still there! That He hadn't left me.

There are some things that haven't changed though. I still sense when satan is on the prowl and instead of seeing the demons, I see a darkness in the room and I can tell. God still speaks to me and I still hear His voice but now, it is sometimes harder to discern.

Now about dreams. Those dreams where the body floats until it comes to some obstacle are OOB's. I would say that there is something in your life that is allowing/causing it and you need to pray about it. I have also known that sometimes people are assualted by those in OOB's so yes, there is something very spiritual about it. Since the assualt is not a demon but part of a person, you have to deal with it differently in spiritual warfare.

If you feel that someone is watching you and it isn't demonic (test the spirits) or you feel something brush up against you and it's not demonic and you can't seem to get rid of it you have to bind astral projection or OOB's and those who seek to spy on your liberty in Christ Jesus to get rid of thier prying.

Yes, I do believe that God still speaks through dreams as He continues to speak to me through them and they do come to pass.

I have had several dreams in my lifetime about Christ's second coming, none of which included a rapture, though. In all of the dreams I am always surpised, then afraid, and then comforted.

I also recently had a dream in which I was being crucified. I'm not sure what to make of that.

I recently had a dream in which I saw a city that had been struck by earthquakes...many tall buildings were left standing and damaged but were at an angle. People were allowed back into the buildings. I was in one of the buildings with some of my former work colleagues. I left the room in which we all were; suddenly I knew I had to leave the building and ran for my life...I made it out of the building just as it collapsed around me and I knew that all those left in the building would die. I take this to mean that it was God's will that I leave my former employment but I am unsure.

I wasn't in my body because of being tortured.

As for other people's oob's, we had a neighbor that was into astral projection. My friend across the street had come over crying that something was shaking her bed up and down at night waking her up and I just assumed the idiot was calling up demons to torment her.

Well, we started praying together and it quit. Evidently, he found out who was praying with her or he just didn't like me because he knew I was a Christian.

I woke up in the middle of the night with something/someone touching me. Sitting on the side of my bed. There was no one physically there. I bound and rebuked it in Jesus name and it left.

A couple of nights later it happened again. I bound and rebuked it and it didn't leave. I shouted at it, "I don't know WHO you are but I belong to God and He loves me and if you harm me you are gonna answer to him".

It finally left, but I got the distinct impression from the Lord that it was indeed a person, not a demon. The next time I saw this fella, he had a smirk on his face.

I had had an experience like that before and was lead to bind and rebuke astral projection when I lived elsewhere. At first my thought was a night demon but after binding and rebuking the astral projection it left.

Yes, the oob's are facilitated through demonic power, but because it also involves the soul of a person it gets a little complicated at times. I've had witches covens try this and you are dealing many times with more than one demonic spirit.

I had a vision of the night were I saw Jesus descending from Heaven. There was a great battle going on near where He descended. There were fighter jets, strange looking futuristic weapons, and the flags of all the nations that were in the battle. The US flag was there, as well as the Israeli flag and the flag of the European Union. (Blue with a circle of stars). The vision of the night was actually part of a scene on a large tapestry that had been lowered down before me depicting many nations, wars, and the weapons of those wars. In the background behind Jesus was an Atomic Explosion. It seemed like He was just muffling it or rendering it powerless. (????)
The scene I describe is of course the return of Christ to the earth at the battle of Armageddon.

In my last dream I was standing on the streets of a small native village, watching two bald eagles soaring side by side. Then Jesus appeared in the sky; the eagles disappering at his prescence. Two angels then descended from heaven, one on each side of Jesus. They placed a crown upon his head that turned into flames the moment it touched him. Rays of light shone about Jesus and he fell to the Earth.

...then I awoke.

I have had several dreams about the return of Jesus, spanning over several years. Over the last 10 or so maybe. The first one I was "not ready" It was during the middle of the day, but the sky had turned dark. I was praying earnestly for God to have mercy on my children, even though, in the dream, I knew I could not go, I begged for Him to take them. In one of the dreams I was traveling in a van, on each side of me was a different season, I looked up at the sun and saw Jesus, I could only see His shadow in front of the sun, but His robe was flowing, it was cool. I called my husband in that dream and told him to start praying immediately, (he was not saved) I have not had one recently, I believe they were warnings, I was not living right at the time, and they scared me into prayer and studying scripture. I once had a dream that I was walking through the earth, nothing but blackness and the earth, (I was bigger than earth while walking through it) and on the surface it was pure beauty, green trees, flowers, beauty, but just below, kind of 3-D image was garbage, filthy, that was a really weird dream.

I've Had a few over the few years and some of what I saw wasn't pretty and there are still a couple I have prayed for better understanding and since then I have meet a pastor and teacher and we were able to understand parts of it but still yet not all of it this is what really helps me focus on the Lord and has kept me in studies as well so all my thanks to him...........Amen .......God Bless

I would also like to add that not all were of bad times to come but I have had some great one's but the ones that were what he was trying to show me of what was to come even though I wouldn't understand it that time always at the end he came to tell me I would be alright I and I believe him

Yeah! I have dreams alot and sometimes in the last 8 dreams that seemed of importance 5 or 6 have come to past in one way or another!

I've had several dreams of the Rapture one acutally scared me. I wasn't ready I wasn't raptured and then it caused me after I woke up to start thinking what if I've been living a lie all along which caused a long season of doubting in Jesus. I'm back now though but a week ago I wasn't =( The other dreams happened like this one I was standing on a hill watching a firework show overlooking a local mountion suddenly I felt myself going up... that of course was the rapture. I know I've had others... because I'm ALWAYS dreaming spiritual dreams but I can't remember them right now

I have the same dream monthly. In the dream It is so real that I run out of my room everytime. I look back and am ready to fight someone. Its like someone takes over my room. Its usually a train that just keeps rolling toward me but it feels like something overwhelms me in to a situation I can't handle so I run. It might just be from stress but I've been having it for years.

an average of once a week in half of february as well as march i had dreams involving the end times in one way or another. i cant recall a dream of a rapture though.
the last spiritual dream i had was awesome and it occured last monday.
i was witnessing to non believers in the end times and i was trying desperately to convert them. something was going wrong in the area around me, i couldnt quite make it out but it wasnt too pretty. i was speaking to four people at the time spitting out every verse i knew trying to help them see and finally i started praying for them and for God to step in to help....
all of a sudden there was a very bright light behind me, and in all seriousness, the light emitted gave off the most comforting sense of inner and physical warmth. i didnt turn around but felt incredible because i knew who it was. i distinctly remember the looks of the four people's faces. it was as if their hearts and eyes had been opened for the first time...there were tears in their eyes and they began to plead for forgiveness. last thing i remember is a voice that said..."Come with Me my children."

it was soooo awesome...i really need to start writing these dreams down.

My neighbor had one, too.

I dreamed that I was at my father's, just going about nornal life. We were cleaning the basement. I went upstairs to my old bedroom and tried to turn the lights on. The lights were already on, and the switch was in the up position, but I couldn't understand why it I couldn't make it any brighter, although it was already quite bright in the room. I was very puzzled about it.

Suddenly a strange feeling came over me, like joy mixed with weightlessness. While I tried to figure out what that was about, I thought about my dad, still in the cellar. I couldn't call out to him, however. Then I just started lifting off the floor, and I woke up just as I was about to hit the ceiling.

That isn't a rapture dream. It has nothing to do with a rapture.
