I'd say I lost touch with mainstream media during the half part of the first decade of the new millennium. If you were to ask me what new popular rock bands are out, I would have no clue. Same thing with most movies. Unless something has been around for over 15 years, Im out of the loop. I do look forward to a new Star Wars movie. I hope to go see it. Who knows, I said that about the last three Batman movies and I haven't seen a single one.

Some music has spirits associated with it that just makes it near impossible for a Christian to listen to. Black Sabbath is one of those bands. I took a gander at one of their new songs to find out if they've stuck with their sound, and I had to turn the stuff off. My computer literally started having a conniption fit.

^I find that that type of thing has no more power over me than I allow it to have, and if I see it for what it is (just noise), it's helpful to 'dispel' the illusion. That doesn't mean I enjoy anything and everything though, and for me, the message that's being communicated is more relevant than what it sounds like or what it looks like.
