  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There was once a new Priest who was sent to his new Parish. In order to get to know his 'flock', he went round visiting everyone at home.

At one house he got no reply, despite knocking for some time. He could not shake off the feeling that there was someone at home though, so he took a small card from his pocket and wrote on it: Revelations 3:20 "Behold I stand at the door and knock", and popped it through the letter box.

After Mass the following Sunday, he was surprised to find that his card had been returned in the collection plate.

Under his Bible reference had been added : Genisis 3:10

Intrigued, the Priest reached for a nearby Bible and looked it up...

"I heard you in the garden, and was afraid. For I was naked" ;)

I love America also, but Argentina is so much better.

Wrong.

And it's okay to love where you came from but you should be showing an American flag first if you live in America, if this is the place you call home.

You shouldn't blindly follow our government but you should be proud to be here thus proud to display the American flag.
If you live here it's America first, anywhere else 2nd.

This country has tons of problems and there are so many things that make this place disgusting to live in... but still, all that is great about America beats the heck out of anywhere else in the world. If Argentina is so awesome and so much better than the U.S., how come every year people come here from every single other country in the world? For the hamburgers? No, to try to make a better life for themselves.

If Argentina is better then how come people are not flocking there to make a better life for themselves? I'm not saying Argentina's a bad place, I've been there, I like it a lot... but America, despite what's downright horrible about this place, is head and shoulders above anywhere else.

If this is your home, you ought to show your American flag first and if you wanna show an Argentine flag then stick one in your signature or avatar, or request one for the Armor store :)

God Bless

P.S. if "Argentina is so much better" than the United States - why are you here?!?!?!?! How come you want to be in an inferior country?
