Jesus new commandment is the new covenant we are to keep
..to love one another as he has loved us. This is the true, spiritual meaning of the Lords supper
..to love one another. We are supposed to do this in remembrance of Him
to remember His love for us.
(John 13:34 KJV) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Those that have faithfully kept His covenant have entered through the narrow Way which leads to true Life
because they love each other. They are led by the Spirit and have fruits of the Spirit
.love, peace, joy, contentment.
(Mat 7:12 KJV) Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
But MANY have entered through the wide gate that leads to destruction
to envy, strife, divisions, hatred, wrath, etc. They have not been led by the Spirit but by the fleshly mind seeking after the things of this world through covetousness. They pursue their grand religious works in the covetousness for the bigger and better things
the vain glory of men. Many have fallen asleep and need to be awakened by the revealing of the Scripture of Truth.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Only the few
.the little flock
.has followed Him
hearing His voice only that says to love one another.
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
The false prophets
.the pastors, reverends, priests, PhDs
..have led many astray after the things they covet after. They have led the many away from true righteousness in God. They have robbed many from the things of the Spirit. They have made many poor in Spirit
..the many do not have love for one another
.they do not have joy and peace. The many have been led down the wide path to ruin
..they are a troubled people.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
The false prophets preach the outward appearance of the Scriptures. They preach what they understand on the surface
.they only see the literal language of the Bible and preach deception
they have led many astray
..they are the true sorcerers. What they understand with their earthly mind is the dust. The literalizing of the Scriptures is the dust of mans understanding
.mans earthly wisdom of the Bible. The many that have been led astray by earthly-minded men have fallen asleep in the dust of the earth and are to be awakened by the spiritual Truth of the Bible.
(Dan 12:2 KJV) And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
The many who have been led astray by false preachers have been given the bread of adversity and the water of affliction.
(Isa 30:20 KJV) And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:
The many pastors have led many down that path to ruin
.they have destroyed His vineyard by their preaching of falsehoods. They have made it desolate. They have cast the Truth to the ground and trampled it.
(Jer 12:10 KJV) Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
11 They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart.
It is the pastors
the false prophets
who have destroyed and scatter the sheep of His pasture. They do not preach Truth but falsehoods out of the covetousness that is in their hearts.
(Jer 23:1 KJV) Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.
But the Lord will set up true shepherds
.preachers of the Truth
.in Christ Jesus who is that revealed Truth. The true pastors will feed the sheep of the Lord.
4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.
The Lord will give us true pastors according to His heart
..like David. They shall feed us with His knowledge and understanding as opposed to the wisdom of man. They shall preach the Scripture of Truth and not the literal wisdom of the Bible as preached by many pastors.
(Jer 3:15 KJV) And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
The true pastors are the angels
.the messengers of the Truth. The revealed Scripture of Truth is that great sound of a trumpet. This is NOT LITERAL. There will be no literal sounding of a trumpet
..nor literal ethereal beings descending from the literal sky. These angels will be preachers of the Truth
.and it is the revealed Truth that shall gather those who will hear and love the Truth. They shall be gathered from the four winds.
(Mat 24:31 KJV) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The four winds represents every wind of doctrine that false prophets preach in order to deceive the poor in Spirit. Their preaching brings spiritual famine, pestilence, death to a conquered (deceived) people. Their preaching have stunted the growth of those who listen to them
.they are still carnal children.
(Eph 4:14 KJV) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes
..the death, the sorrow, the crying and pain shall pass away. These 4 things have been brought to the many in the church by the false pastors who preach the literal (every wind of doctrine) and pursue the covetousness in their hearts. Under their care, many have lived in divisions, hatred, strife and envy. Many have fallen victim to them
.but God shall deliver those poor in Spirit from the thieves and robbers. The former things shall pass away.
(Rev 21:3 KJV) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
These false pastors can repent and be saved though. They can hear the revealed Truth and then feed the sheep with the Truth. But they must acknowledge their sins and deny themselves
they must deny their earthly wisdom of the Bible
.they must deny their covetousness. Remember the days of Lot. They must not continue to eat and drink in their covetousness
.they must not continue to buy and sell the souls of the sheep
they must not continue planting things (doctrines) that bring forth thorns and thistles and building their religious Babylon
.confusion.
(Luke 17:28 KJV) Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
The Son of man is to be revealed
..the Scriptures will reveal the spiritual Truth that has been in past times hidden.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Those that are upon the housetop
the pastors who are in charge
must deny themselves
.their earthly wisdom
their doctrines and commandments of men. They must not cling on to their stuff
their teachings
their riches. They must not return back to these things when they see the revealed Truth.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Like the calling of the disciples, they are to forsake their nets
.their erroneous teachings that catch men in their evil nets. They must repent
to change their mind.
(Mat 4:17 KJV) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
They must follow after Jesus
who is the revealed Truth of God. Those that do, can then be those pastors of Truth
.they can be those angels or messengers of the Lord that can gather the sheep who have been scattered by false teachers. They can then be true fishers of men.
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
They must immediately leave their nets
.to forsake their own erroneous, literalized, earthly-minded biblical teachings and follow Him.
20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
They must stop preaching for money
out of the covetousness of their hearts. Zebedee = gift. They must stop perfecting their covetous preaching (mending their nets) and follow Him who calls them. They must stop being merchants that make their living off the sea of confusion. They must leave the ship of falsehoods.
21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
Like Matthew, many pastors are sitting at their places of authority collecting the taxes from the sheep. They burden the sheep with their teachings for money. But if they hear His voice today calling out to them
they are to immediately leave their covetousness and follow the Truth.
(Mat 9:9 KJV) And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
Jesus of Nazareth is the Truth of the Scriptures
.he is the revealed Truth of Moses and the prophets. Nathanael represents those who have no guile
.no preaching of trickery
.deceit
.which lead the sheep astray.
(John 1:45 KJV) Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him,We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
He questions what is preached to him
.he searches the Scriptures to see if the things are so. I speculate that Nathanael may even represent the Jews that are searching the Scriptures for their Messiah. Philip may represent those Gentiles who hear the Spirit of Truth and will lead them (the Jews) to the Truth
Christ Jesus
..Come and see. Only the revelation of the Scripture of Truth will they listen to
.they will hear the Spirit of Truth. AS it is now, many Jews question if anything good can come out of the Christian church
.as the revealed Truth is not being currently preached. Nazareth is a town in Galilee
.symbolic of the Gentile Christian church. It is the Branch of the Truth that shall be preached. Mercy shall be shown to them through our mercy.
46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
Being under the fig tree speaks of the humbleness in the studying of the Scriptures. These are people who do not lean upon their own wisdom of the Bible
.they do not climb up the tree
.they do not exalt their own understanding and lead people astray.
48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
These are people who can instantly see that the revealed Truth.... the Son of God
..the Rabbi
the master of the Scripture of Truth.
49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
Seeing the heaven open is seeing all of the Truth being revealed in the Scriptures. It is to see the greater things that have been hidden for so long.
50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
