  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In the “wilderness of Sinai,” every male was “numbered” by their “polls.” The Hebrew word for “polls” here is “gulgoleth”….which is NO coincidence. “Gulgoleth” means “SKULL”…..as in GOLGOTHA….the place where the Lord was crucified….the place where he was NUMBERED with the transgressors. He was numbered with those who are currently living in “death”…in envy and strife and hating one another….in WAR with each other.

:clap::clap: Im speechless! I really want to cry out an Oh My (You know what) loudly a thousand times but it would only be censored!! ^_^

How KOOL!!! You point out the koolest stuff ^_^ Thank God for you, and you as well Chicapee, God is so good!

Dang, Im so busy today, foodshopping etc I want to reread your post again, you are so helpful! I betcha theres tons more that can be extracted from these things as well.

I also was looking at the numbering in that very place and was wondering how those things fit together rightly, cant wait to dig into that as well.

Fireinfolding….I thank God for you and Chickapee for having the patience to read through the rambling!! Sometimes I can be clear as mud on a good day. I thank God for our journey together….and I have a feeling that it has only just BEGUN.

Our Lord comes to open up the Scriptures to our understanding so that those in the church who are living in strife and envy…hatred (the “death”)…might have true Life. He gives us His knowledge so that we may pass from this current “death” situation into true Life. We are to be “renewed” in the Spirit….to be “regenerated”…. in His mercy and forgiveness. We are to depart from envy and strife and every evil work and enter into His rest.

But remember those in the “wilderness of Sinai”…..in the “wilderness of hatred”…..who did not believe. They did not enter into His rest because of unbelief……as there will be those in the church in this last day who will not believe the “report” that they will hear. They will “murmur” against the Truth…they will continue WILLFULLY in their sins…in their divisions, in their covetousness, in their strife and envy…..loving unrighteousness more than His instruction. His voice warns us from heaven…..He speaks through the Scripture of Truth to us.

(Heb 3:15 KJV) While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

And who exactly did NOT enter into the promised land? Those who were NUMBEREDfor WAR…..those who are bogged down in envy and strife…in WAR. We are to hear His voice and depart from our sins and not “murmur” against the Truth. The Lord has paid for our sins…..we are His purchased possession….let us hear His voice and obey. Let us receive the love of the Truth and be saved…..saved from our “death” of trespasses and sins.

(Num 14:27 KJV) How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,

In this last time, there will be those same “murmurers” in the church who will not believe in the Truth when they hear it. They will continue to willfully walk after their own lusts…..mockers of the Truth. There will no longer be any sacrifice for their sins….because they shall no longer be in ignorance of the Truth.

(Jude 1:16 KJV) These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

They will continue on in their works of the flesh and shall not inherit the kingdom of God…..they shall not enter into the promised land….they shall not enter into His rest. There will be no rest from their hatred, envy and strife…..they shall perish in their own corruption.

(Gal 5:19 KJV) Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

We are to crucify the flesh with that affections and lusts….crucify our church works and the envy and strife that is not of wisdom from above. Our church works are a result of earthly wisdom which brings confusion, division and every evil work into the church.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

The men of war are to repent of their ways and thoughts. Those “men of war” who continue in their ways shall be “consumed” because they will not hear His voice that speaks in this last time. They shall not inherit the kingdom of God because of their “provocation.”

(Josh 5:6 KJV) For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not show them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

Our Lord has forgiven those who are transgressors (the men of war) because they know not what they do. “He was NUMBERED with the transgressors.” Those who are bogged down in envy and strife have gone to “sleep” but our Lord will come to “awaken” them up with His voice. Let us hear His voice and obey.

Those that have loved each other in this “wilderness” time are spiritually the “Levites.” Those that love each other are not “numbered” with the “men of war.”

(Num 2:33 KJV) But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.

The “Levites” are those who have loved each other….they abide in the “doctrine of Christ”….which is the teaching of Christ to love one another. They have BOTH the Father and the Son. God is love…and those who love each other have God. Those who do not love one another have “withered” in the “wilderness” of hatred….they have NOT God.

(2 John 1:9 KJV) Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Those who love one another are spiritually the “Levites”….the true “priests” of the Lord. They partake of His Supper…..they keep the “daily sacrifice” to love one another. They show openly his sacrifice for us. They are not living in envy and strife…but in the Spirit of love, peace, joy, humbleness. THE LORD IS THEIR INHERITANCE. God is LOVE…and those that dwell in love, dwell in God.

(Deu 18:1 KJV) The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.
2 Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.

The Lord is the inheritance of those who love one another….and they dwell in God and God in them…..God is LOVE.

(1 John 4:16 KJV) And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

God is our inheritance if we love one another. Those that do not love, do not have God….but the Son’s sacrifice forgives us of our sins that we do in our ignorance.

(1 John 4:12 KJV) No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Those that love one another are in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ NOW! They are his “priests.” "Levites" means "attached"...they are attached to Him.

(1 Th 2:19 KJV) For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

The Levites were the priests….and so are those who love one another. They are living the Life in Christ NOW….the “first resurrection.” All those who follow the doctrine of Christ are living Life in the Spirit…they enjoy His presence…they are “awake” and not asleep as the rest who have entered into temptation. The “second death” has NO power over them. They are not in the “death” of hating one another. They are the TRUE PRIESTS of God and of Christ….the spiritual “Levites.” They have both the Father and the Son. God dwells in those who love each other….and them in Him. They have a “part”….an inheritance of the Lord…in the “first resurrection.”

(Rev 20:6 KJV) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The “thousand years” speaks of the time we are currently living in. It speaks of the “day of adversity”….the “night” season of the churches….the winter time…..the hour of darkness….the hour of temptation….when many are living in strife and envy of each other. It speaks of the time MANY who have fallen victim to false teachers…who have led them down the path to “destruction”….to spiritual ruin….to hating one another and fulfilling the lusts of men who preach in error. But when the “thousand years” are past, He says to the children of men who have been living in “destruction” to RETURN to Him.

(Psa 90:3 KJV) Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

For the “thousand years” are but as “yesterday”….a “day” of adversity….and a watch in the NIGHT.

4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

The “MANY” in the church have gone to “sleep”….in hatred for one another…in envy and strife. But in the spiritual “morning” of the revealed Truth, those who hear His voice and obey shall spring up like grass which grows up…..LIFE! They shall be raised from the “dead”…they shall hear His voice and come out of their “graves.”

5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

His true “disciples” are those who love one another….and are not to go to “sleep” like the rest….they should keep “watch” for the “one hour”….the “hour of darkness”…the “hour of temptation” …that many have entered into and have fallen “asleep” in ruin. They are to keep “charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.”

(Mat 26:40 KJV) And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

They are his “disciples”….NOW.

(John 13:34 KJV) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

They are THE example to all those who are in “Macedonian and Achaia”…..which is a veiled reference to the time of trouble….the day of adversity …that the church has been experiencing. “Achaia” means “trouble, grief.”

(1 Th 1:7 KJV) So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

As the literal tribe of the Levites were dispersed among all the tribes of Israel, so also are those spiritual “Levites” scattered throughout the churches. These are people who love each other no matter where they are. These are the quiet ones…the loving people who are unassuming…who are gentle….who are a pleasure to be around. They probably sit in the back rows of every church…unnoticed by the high and mighty leadership. They are the “salt of the earth.” They are those who encamp around the Lord….they follow His doctrine to love one another. It is because of their presence, there is no wrath upon the congregations. They keep charge…they are “awake” to His presence.

(Num 1:53 KJV) But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

The spiritual “Levites” are few in number….and they are scattered through out all churches. His disciples are the “salt of the earth.” If it wasn’t for them, then most would be good for nothing. If they had left, then what is left is to be cast out.

(Mat 5:13 KJV) Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

How do you find those that love one another though? Thats not easy to find, though I know that the Lords servant should not strive but thats all there is is striving. How can we live in the church altogether if this be the case, what of Paul though Wheeler, he said he fought with beasts in certain places, that he spake as unto carnal as warranted and as unto spiritual where he could as well. We are all carnal at the first, knowing this is true (even of ourselves at the first) fighting and warring is typical of the carnal man, isnt it right to be examples in the midst of them? Afterall, even Paul said they are yet babes in Christ, walking as men (which is typical of the age) dont they (even as we) need examples (and to be examples). Only because I always think of hiding ones light under a bed in that case, how can we completely dissapear from the midst of it? I say this because I am involved upstairs where bickering is quite typical, theres certain up there I refuse to converse with (my choice ofcourse) because of the constant wrangling, the ones who love debate for debate sake, the obvious ones (I think you know what I mean). But is it wrong altogether to reason from the scriptures to prove a thing in the midst of that to show a thing, or change a mind?

I have convictions on both sides of the issue (always have) but I cannot tell yet... how can you shine as lights if there is not some darkness around you or shine in the midst of what might be contrary if even Jude speaks of those who feed among you contrary (in a bad sense) even in your feasts of charity (what is in a good sense).

Unless we simply leave it all together but why does that carry with it a sense of guilt in me to consider it?

Fireinfolding,

There are two kinds of “war”….one, the infighting among the churches about who is the “greatest” among us….where there is envy and strife…these wars are NOT in the Truth. Those "many" who live in destruction in the churches have bitter envying and strife in their hearts…..and they strive with EARTHLY wisdom….not with the wisdom from ABOVE.

(James 3:14 KJV) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

The current wars and fighting among the churches come from the LUST for things….for power, for subverting the ears to falsehoods, for coveting, for earthly things. This is a warfare NOT done in the wisdom of God…but of earthly, devilish wisdom.

4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

They do NOT fight for the Truth but for worldly things.

4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

But the TRUE warfare is with spiritual wickedness in high places…against the darkness of falsehoods. We WAR in the Spirit of Truth and not for worldly things.

(1 Tim 1:18 KJV) This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

But this “warfare” is not to be quarrelsome…..we must always show love to those who “oppose themselves”…we must be gentle and in meekness….and have patience.

(2 Tim 2:24 KJV) And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

It is God who will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the Truth if they are truly His.

25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

We can only wage this warfare when He gives us His wisdom and knowledge to do so. We can only war in the meekness of His heavenly wisdom....not prideful.

(James 3:13 KJV) Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Our weapons of our “warfare” are not carnal……but mighty THROUGH GOD to the pulling down of strongholds.

(2 Cor 10:3 KJV) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

We war against the imaginations of religious men and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

It is only when our obedience to His knowledge is complete, then we can “revenge all disobedience.” WE CAN ONLY WAR SUCCESSFULLY ONLY WHEN WE ARE COMPLETELY OBEDIENT TO THE TRUTH.

6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Those who are currently warring over Scriptural things are warring about the OUTWARD letter of the Scriptures….they war in the “flesh.” Our war is in the spiritual understanding of God….our war is against the fleshly understanding of man….against the darkness.

7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.

Satan and his messengers only look on the “outward” things…they literalize the Scriptures…they are of the “flesh”…carnal. They savor not the things of God…the spiritual knowledge of the Scriptures, but the things of men do they look after. They only see the outward form.

(Mark 8:33 KJV) But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

This is why men must deny their own thoughts and ways…their own outward thinking of the Scriptures. The fleshly understanding of the Scriptures have brought these carnal wars and fighting among the people of God. The only doctrine that we were to follow is to love one another while we were to WAIT for the Lord to come with His knowledge ….we were to WAIT for Him to open up the Scriptures to our understanding.

34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Our warfare in the Truth is to wrestle against those who have control over the poor in spirit….against those “rulers of the darkness of this world.” The false prophets have deceived many and led them into the “darkness”….whoever does not love his brother is in the darkness and does not know why he stumbles.

(Eph 6:12 KJV) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We do wage a “warfare,” Fireinfolding. We do put on the armor of God to wage this battle. The armor is the TRUTH…..and righteousness…..and peace….and faith…and salvation….and the SWORD of the Spirit…which is the Word of God.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

We will silence the critics…the harsh words from their mouths….the fiery darts of the wicked….who will seek to oppose and contradict us.

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

We will fight with the “wild beasts”….men who only know the natural and refuse to repent of their ways and thoughts. We will ride in the “armies of heaven” following after the Faithful and True…..who does judge and make war…in the TRUTH.

(Rev 19:11 KJV) And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Our obedience to the Truth is FIRST before we can revenge upon all disobedience. We must be clothed in righteousness….loving one another…in purity. We will wage this war in gentleness.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

We must be peaceful……the Lord shall repay.

(Rom 12:18 KJV) If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

When we feed the “enemy” with the teaching of the revealed Truth, we are heaping “coals of fire” on his head. The Lord shall repay for their disobedience.

20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

We must overcome evil with good in our warfare.

21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

We will not bare the Sword of the Spirit in vain.

4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

(2 Tim 2:4 KJV) No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

We must strive lawfully. We must have HIS understanding FIRST.

5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

We must partake of the fruits FIRST…..the fruits of the Spirit….to have love, to have peace…to have joy and meekness…..and the Lord shall give us His understanding in ALL things.

6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
[FONT=&quot]7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things[/FONT]

great points both of you ,
seeing unbelief as lack of trust in God faithlessness Paul sowed the seed and Apollos watered but God gave the increase

we get what we are measured weighted out alotted to

when do you know your are casting your pearls before swine ?

or sowing seeds that land in dry hearts untilled or to many weeds / cares of this life ?

the Lord told his disciples / students to be like him , not above Him they would
be mistreated Mar 6:11And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

but again Jesus teaches us that we are to expect resistance

Mat 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

Paul endured shipwreck and reviling
all the time , but a few were thankful to God for him and His witness

hope all is well

Thank you Wheeler for clarifying because I do sometimes have mixed feelings on it, seeing both sides but not quite sure which ones stronger and if I am being disobedient, I dont feel I am but sometimes I am convicted I am, depends on the situation or the time, and yet either way its His chatisement of me that teaches me where I go wrong sometimes when I dont know where I go wrong, I just hope Im always listening and never hardening my heart to Him.

I must head out for a bit, this too is what I was looking at (just a clip part)

Heb 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Rev 2:3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

We know tribulation worketh patience and it speaks of the patience of the saints and also the patience of Job, and that even among his freinds who spake not what was right of the Lord (as his servant Job did) and Job (likewise) endured them as well (even as) the Lord (of all patience and longsuffering toward us) endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, and speaks of fainting in ones mind in what appears to be enduring such things.

Just reminds me of enduring the same sufferings of Christ somehow, the same sorta temptations, the provocations endured, field of entanglements others lay for you seeking to catch something out of your mouth in order to accuse you as you are simply walking around in the midst of all of it listening to Him. In the sense we entrust ourselves to Him (when reviled, not reviling back) and having no fear of evil because we cleave to Him. Theres something very beautiful about it, hard to word.

Though sometimes it can be hard to always know for certain, like sometimes I might have doubt as to where my place is, and not always do I do right and suffer for doing wrong when I do, whether that be a wrong response, or something I had spoken in the wrong way or whether that be pulling a dog by the ears or as simple as not answering using His words (but my own) or whatever that might be.

Its often in the midst of these things He shows He is strong to me in and its like He is my addiction even through those very things... I really dont know how to word that rightly, I struggle with that one but that sounds about right. Im still learning of Him and I dont always walk perfectly, i know He will make my way perfect and trust Him in that, but yeah I worry about ever departing from Him, or hardening myself to Him in some way, which one of us would not fear that? Thats my worse nightmare, thats why I asked you, and yes I saw "striving lawfully" I hope I do Im not always so certain all the time, I need to always question myself.

Our “war” is with the powers that be….pastors, priests, reverends, etc…those wolves who do not spare the flock. Jesus had “war” also with the spiritual leaders 2000 years ago…those rulers of darkness…..the Pharisees, scribes and Sadducees. These were the powers in high places that the Lord wrestled with. They shut up the kingdom of heaven against men…they forbid those underneath their care to take hold of the Truth that Jesus preached. They prevented those in their care from entering into His rest.

(Mat 23:13 KJV) But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

The disciples of Jesus also wrestled with the “magistrates and powers.”

(Luke 12:11 KJV) And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

Jesus and his disciples were “Michael and his angels” that fought against the dragon and his angels (the Pharisees, scribes and Sadducees….the ruling elite.)

(Rev 12:7 KJV) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

Jesus and the disciples had power to tread on “serpents and scorpions”…. Those spiritual rulers of the people.

(Luke 10:17 KJV) And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven……

18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

The enemy is the ruling elite who have the power over the flock. …they are the “serpents and scorpions” whose teachings are poisonous to those who listen to them.

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

This is all going to be REPEATED in this last day. There is going to be another “war” against spiritual wickedness in high places….against men who rule…who exercise their authority over the poor in spirit. The war will not be with the poor in spirit….the “rank and file” so to speak. The current rulers will also behave like the Pharisees…they will sneer at the Truth…and try to prevent those underneath them from hearing and accepting the Truth.

The “rich” rulers of the church oppress the “poor” in their care. They are poor in spirit…they have no fruits of the Spirit because of what they are taught by those they trust. They have been robbed of true life in Christ by those in charge.

(Prov 14:31 KJV) He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

The “rich” rulers rule over the “poor” in the church.

(Prov 22:7 KJV) The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

The rich pastors oppress the “poor” in their care to increase their riches.

(Prov 22:16 KJV) He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.

When the Lord reveals His Truth (code words: “in the gate,”) the rich should not continue to oppress them…. for the Lord will spoil those shepherds who do not feed the sheep in DUE SEASON…..in the revelation of the Truth.

(Prov 22:22 KJV) Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
23 For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.

It is the rich men in high places in the church…who have gained their wealth from fraudulent bible teachings who are to howl for the miseries that will come upon them. They will continue to pursue their riches in the face of the Truth being revealed. They will continue planting, building, etc, etc and not preach the revealed Truth to the "laborers" who keep their empires running.

(James 5:1 KJV) Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

It will be the shepherds who are in big trouble when the Scriptures are to be revealed. They should be watching for the Truth and preaching it in the day the Son of man is revealed….not keeping the Truth back so that those under them could be saved.

(Ezek 34:9 KJV) Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;

The Lord will be against those shepherds who will not feed the flock in the coming DUE SEASON. He will cause them to cease being a leader over His flock.

10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

The Lord will send His messengers out to gather the people and put them in His barn.

13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.

The sheep and the goats are the shepherds who are to be judged…they are the ones who will face the harshest judgment.

(Mat 25:33 KJV) And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Those who will not feed the flock…the least brethren….they will not have done it for the Lord. They have only fed themselves chasing after their riches and things of this world. The devil and his messengers…his ministers of “righteousness” shall depart from the Lord. They are shepherds who do not feed the flock….only themselves.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Jer 50:6My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray,

they have turned them away [on] the mountains:

they have gone from mountain to hill,

they have forgotten their restingplace.

All that found them have devoured them:

and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.

Eze 34:2Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe [be] to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
Jhn 10:9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Jhn 10:11 I am the good shepherd:

the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd,

whose own the sheep are not,

seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth:

and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep

The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

I am the good shepherd, and know my [sheep], and am known of mine.

Chickapee, thanks for those verses! It is the “shepherds” of the flock that have made many go astray. They have made them wander….like lost sheep…. and they need the Good Shepherd to come rescue them from their influences.

(Jer 50:6 KJV) My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace.

The many, self-seeking shepherds are those who are the lions that seek to devour those simple…they seek to devour those who listen to them.

7 All that found them have devoured them:and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.

The Lord comes to deliver them. The lost sheep are to escape from Babylon with their lives. They are to escape the pastors who do not feed them. They have only eaten the bread of adversity and drank the wine of violence under their direction. They are spiritually “hungry” and “thirsty” and need fed….they are in prison and need to be visited. They are naked and need to be clothed with true righteousness.

8 Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.

The self-seeking shepherds are the “destroyers” of His heritage. They are the “thieves and robbers”……they have robbed the poor in spirit of love, peace, joy in the Spirit….robbed of life in Christ. Yet, the shepherds rejoice and are glad in their doings….they love the riches that they have gathered from the lost sheep….they love their power to lord over them….they love their positions and recognition from other men. The have grown “fat” in the day of slaughter…they have lived in pleasure on the earth…in their earthly-thinking ways and thoughts. They nourish their hearts with their ways….and yet they do not feed the flock the Truth.

(Jer 50:11 KJV) Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;

Yet, Babylon….their mother…shall be put to shame. All her things are going to be made desolate. And they that have grown rich off of her shall mourn.

12 Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
13 Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

Many of the current shepherds of the churches will howl and cry….they shall fall “like a pleasant vessel.” They are the “stars” that will fall from heaven….they are the “powers” of heaven who shall be shaken. The kings of the earth shall cry over burning Babylon.

(Jer 25:34 KJV) Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.
35 And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.

The Lord is coming to “spoil their pasture”….He comes to lead His sheep from their pasture and to His pasture where they can lie down in His peace. ….green pastures.

36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the LORD hath spoiled their pasture.
37 And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the LORD.

The pastors of the churches are the “goodmen of the house.” If they truly are good shepherds, then they will be watching for the Lord. They will preach His revealed Truth to the sheep in “due season.” They will feed the flock with the meat of the Truth. But those “goodmen of the house” who are not watching…who will continue to fatten themselves in their riches, covetousness, destructive ways and thoughts….and will have their house “broken through.” The Lord comes to remove the sheep from that shepherd’s leadership.

(Luke 12:39 KJV) And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?

The shepherd who knows the time of the Lord’s visit shall be feeding the household of God….the flock of His heritage.

42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing

Woe to those pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of His pasture.

(Jer 23:1 KJV) Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
The bad pastors will not “visit” the flock with the revealed Truth. They will not visit them in their “prison.” They will hold the Truth in unrighteousness….throwing away the key of knowledge for others.

2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

But the Lord will gather the remnant of His flock from all the denominations of men. He will send His messengers out to gather the sheep into one fold…where they shall be fruitful and increase.

3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

He will set up shepherds who will feed them His revealed Scripture of Truth…and they shall fear no more….they shall lack no more. They shall no longer be the “poor in spirit.”

4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.
5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

They will be fruitful….the vineyard shall no longer be destroyed by the many pastors.

(Jer 12:10 KJV) Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

The Lord comes with His pastors…..He shall raise unto David a righteous branch and a King shall reign and prosper. The Lord will send pastors according to His own heart (DAVID….a man after the Lord’s heart.) These pastors to be sent to the flock are the messengers…the “angels”….who come to feed them with the knowledge of God….with His understanding as opposed to the knowledge and understanding of earthly-minded pastors. FEED MY SHEEP.

(Jer 3:15 KJV) And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Like Peter, when we are to be “converted” ….repent and RETURN to God in His revealed Truth, then we are to “strengthen the brethren”….we are to preach…feed the flock His Truth. We are to share the good news of deliverance. We have “denied” Him by our wicked works…but we are to be “converted”….return back to God and do true works of righteousness. FEED MY SHEEP.

(Luke 22:32 KJV) But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

To those who seek after God…who will hear His knowledge and understanding….to those who will receive the love of the revealed Truth, “Sharon” shall be a fold of flocks and the valley of “Achor” a place for the herds to lie down in. “Sharon” means “to be straight, upright, plain” …..the earth will be a home of righteousness. He will open up the Scriptures to our understanding….our ways and thoughts will then become His ways and thoughts in true righteousness. To those who will seek Him…..the valley of “Achor” shall be a place for the herds to lie down in peace. “Achor” meaning “troubled.” No longer will the flock be afflicted by the pastors who have no knowledge. They shall no longer experience tribulation in the “day of adversity”….they shall weep no more for God will wipe away their tears.

(Isa 65:10 KJV) And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.

But woe to those who turn their ears from His revealed Truth…..woe to those who love their unrighteousness more than God…..woe to those who will continue in their own ways and thoughts….woe to those who will contradict and oppose His Truth.

11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.

He will call us…let us answer Him. Let us open up the door. He will speak to us….let us hear Him and repent of our ways and thoughts. Let us choose life and not “death.”

12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

Those that shall receive the love of the Truth shall “eat”…..but those who will not, shall not hear shall be “hungry.” His servants shall drink and those who will choose their own evil ways shall be thirsty and ashamed.

13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

God comes to open up the Scripture of Truth. He is the God of Truth. We shall no longer be taught by pastors with their earthly understanding….pastors whose god is their belly…who mind earthly things. Their ways and thoughts which have brought troubles to many (“Achor”) shall no longer be followed by those who seek after Him …..His Truth….the God of Truth.

16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

The voice of weeping of the flock under the wicked pastors of darkness shall no longer be heard. These troubles shall pass away.

19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

.....CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS POST

In this last time, many shepherds will scorn the revealed Truth. They will think that they have done no wrong. Many shall rise up to contradict and oppose the Truth.

(Isa 28:14 KJV) Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

The shepherds who feed only themselves have had the “power of death”…..they have kept the flock in darkness….in prison….in the graves. Their teachings and practices have brought hatred, divisions, wrath among the people of God. They have made a “covenant with death”…..they have grown rich off of the current situation of the churches. They have grown rich and powerful and have considerable influence over His heritage. They shall preach “PEACE and SAFETY” when the Truth is being revealed. They think that their doctrines and commandments of men shall stand up in the face of the revealed Scripture of Truth. “peace and safety”= the “overflowing scourge shall pass through and not come unto us.” “Covenant of death” = our refuge is in our lies and falsehoods. They shall hide among the dens and rocks.

15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

There will be FEAR on their part…..only to just understand this report. The living Word of God comes to wage war against those who will oppose and contradict it.

19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

The “kings of the earth”….the shepherds who will continue to mind the earthly things (riches, covetousness, power)…shall hide themselves in the “dens” and “rocks of the mountains”…they will seek hide themselves in their doctrines and commandments of men….they shall seek to hide themselves in their refuges of lies and falsehoods. ….when the Truth is being revealed. There will be no longer a way for them to stand against it. They shall seek to keep their covenant with death…they shall hide themselves in their “tombs”…the dens and the rocks of the mountains.

(Rev 6:15 KJV) And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

The shepherds that hear His voice today are to renounce the hidden things of dishonesty….to no longer walk in craftiness….to no longer handle the Word of God deceitfully. They are to be preachers of His gospel…the GLORIOUS gospel of Christ. They are not longer to preach themselves….for their own vain glory…but give glory to God who had put them in their positions.

(2 Cor 4:1 KJV) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

But the gospel will be “hid” to them that are lost…the son of perdition. The “god of this world”….their belly…will blind those who will not believe in His last-day opening up of the Scriptures. They will seek to keep their focus on the earthly things….they will seek to keep their covenant with “death.” They will continue building and planting their religious empires…fattening themselves in the day of slaughter.

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

I had a thought:

In John 8:1-11, the story of the woman caught in adultery, Jesus wrote in the sand. There is nothing that says exactly what he wrote. I wonder if what he wrote was different for each person who saw it, something very pertinent and specific to a sin of theirs, which caused them to just walk away when Jesus said, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

Since each person would have seen a different thing, unless they all got together and compared notes, there would be no way to document it. I can't see the crowd getting together later, "He wrote 'cheating on taxes'." "No, I saw 'lusted after neighbor's wife'."

Another miracle? I'm just thinking.

Hi Singermom,

I really don’t know what Jesus could have been writing in the ground. But here are some thoughts to consider.

This is definitely a prophecy for today. The “woman” could be a representation of the church that has been unfaithful to the Lord. Our God comes to write His laws into our minds. I speculate that the Lord was showing us this by writing into the “ground” …..He will come to write into the “ground” of our minds His laws. He will remember our sins no more….just like he forgave the woman of her sins and those accusers who were made to think of their own sins by the knowledge of the Lord. When they heard his counsel, they could not resist it….it was Truth.

(Heb 10:16 KJV) This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

After this incident, Jesus concluded that he is the LIGHT of the world….he is the KNOWLEDGE and wisdom of God. Let there be LIGHT! He that would follow him shall not walk in darkness….that is the ultimate message to those who were judging the woman.

(John 8:12 KJV) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

How were they walking in darkness? By hating the woman…by judging her…without mercy.

(1 John 2:9 KJV) He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

It is the “royal law” that is to be written in the “ground” of our minds…..His counsel, knowledge and wisdom is to be shown to us....we shall have His understanding.

(James 2:8 KJV) If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

As the Pharisees and scribes learned from the knowledge of the Lord…..if one does not commit adultery but yet kills (hating our brothers and sisters,) then we are transgressor of the royal law.....the whole law. It is the spirit of the Law that they are to follow.

11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

The Pharisees and scribes were about to judge the woman with no mercy….they were going to stone her on the spot. But the Lord impressed upon their minds the consciousness of their own sins. They were to show mercy because they also were guilty of sins. It is the spirit of the law that we follow. If we show mercy, then we shall have mercy. If we show no mercy, then mercy will not be shown to us in His judgment.

13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath showed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

We are to have compassion… mercy…in other people’s lives…..while keeping ourselves in the love of God. We are to have mercy and save others with fear....pulling them out of the fire.

(Jude 1:21 KJV) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Again....just my thoughts on what it could mean.

 I havent ordered this one up the best it can probrobly be ordered up but you can see somewhat of a comparison in it after the law (Moses) and Christ (through whom grace and truth comes) and that which pertains to our conscience in this too.

John 8:5 Now Moses in the law """commanded us""" that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

John 8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted himself up, and said unto them, he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

John 8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them;

John 8:9 And they which **heard it**, being convicted of their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

Romans 2:15 Which **shew** the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also **bearing witness**, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)

John 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may **be stopped**, and all the world may become **guilty before God**.

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Our Lord comes to “awaken” the many in the church who have gone to “sleep” in the “darkness” of the “grave.” Many hate each other and live in denominations with their doctrinal differences….their various practices….which are only commandments of men….works of the fleshly mind. The “death” is the hatred of each other….and the grave keepers are the teachers who perpetuate this current situation…they have the power of “death.” They have kept many in darkness. The chains that bind our hands are envy and strife. But our Lord has the keys of the grave….of “hell and of death.”

(Rev 1:18 KJV) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

The last enemy to be destroyed is “death”….the hatred among us. All shall be made “alive” to His presence….to His love…to His mercy. The “firstfruits” are those who are currently living in the Life of God…they love one another….in Christ. His “coming” = “parousia” = “PRESENCE.” He comes to open up the Scripture of Truth. He comes to awaken up the “sleeping” from the “death” of hating one another with His Truth….with His knowledge.

(1 Cor 15:22 KJV) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Whoever loves has God dwelling in them…for God IS LOVE….they are the “firstfruits” while the many have gone to “sleep” not having love for one another. But our Lord comes for those who are “asleep” in the “death” of hating each other with their doctrines. They are still His and need to be delivered from the rulers…the authority…the powers…that keep them in their prisons…in their “graves.” He shall put down all rule….all high things that exalt themselves against His knowledge….all doctrines and men who cling on to them.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

He comes to open up the Scripture of Truth so that we may have understanding….he comes to give us His knowledge so that we may see our sins and repent of them. By His KNOWLEDGE shall he justify the “many.” He shall forgive their sins…because they know not what they have done. But He shall show us our sins so that we may be justified in Him.

(Isa 53:11 KJV) He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

The many in the churches need to have their sins shown to them. The Lord will send forth His messengers to preach the wisdom and knowledge of God…..the revealed Scripture of Truth. The “many” have been living in ignorance of the Truth.

(Isa 58:1 KJV) Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

(Micah 3:8 KJV) But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

Our doctrines and commandments of men produce hatred among the brothers and sisters. We JUDGE each other over them. They bring the “sword”…divisions…..they bring spiritual “famine”….they bring spiritual “pestilence”…many are spiritually “sick”….they bring “death”….hatred.

For example, I was brought up in one of the many denominations who sincerely believe that one must be fully immersed in literal water baptism in order to be saved. But it was a stumbling stone for us because it prevented us from loving that church down the street who did not believe that one has to be fully immersed. This “work” became a “dead work” for us because it prevented us from loving our other brothers in Christ who did not believe the way we did…..it prevented us from fulfilling the “royal law.” We were transgressors…following after a dead work that neither saved nor gave us His life. It kept us in “death”…it was a “chain” to our hands….a work of the flesh. Oh sure, the denomination that I belonged to loved each other WITHIN its own four walls….but there was NO love for others who did not practice the work we practiced. We JUDGED others over our “work” …..our dead work of our hands. We were the “sinners” who loved our own….and what good was that?

(Luke 6:32 KJV) For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

My denomination was NOT to judge the brothers who did not believe in full immersion baptism. JUDGING others over doctrinal differences is NOT loving one another. All have sinned….no church has been correct because none follow the royal law with their doctrines that make them stumble in the dark. Our own doctrines prevent us from being ONE in Him….preventing love. Only the few have found true life by loving one another.

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Those others who were not fully immersed in water were NOT saved in my judgmental, denominational mind. They were going to burn in hell….so we were taught. We are to cast our “dead works” from us and come together in ONE mind and ONE Spirit. Our dead man’s doctrines prevent us from loving one another…they separate us ….they keep us in darkness. But we shall be purged from dead works to serve the LIVING God. The "dead" do not praise God.

(Heb 9:14 KJV) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

But in order for us to come out of the darkness…He needs to enlighten the eyes of our understanding to our sins. He will be merciful and forgive us of our ignorant ways and thoughts. The MANY have gone to “sleep”….but the MANY were buried with him by baptism into his DEATH. They are forgiven in Christ for their sins and trespasses. They are covered with his sacrifice for our sins.

(Rom 6:3 KJV) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

The Lord will raise those many into newness of Life. They shall awaken from their “sleep” with His knowledge and cast away all the works of darkness that have hindered them.

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

When we “awaken” to the Truth, then we shall serve sin no more….the body of sin will be destroyed. No more hatred…the last enemy to be destroyed will be “death.” We shall come together as ONE body with ONE Shepherd.

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

He that is “dead” is innocent of sin….because the MANY do not know what they do….they are covered with his sacrifice…they are forgiven from the cross. Only the “few” have found true Life in Christ….while the “many” have participated in his “death.”

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

As Christ was raised from the death dies no more, "death" shall have no more dominion over the many any longer. The many shall awaken from the "death" of hating one another and live His life.

9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

The “many” in the church have been the “servants of sin,” Their own doctrines of men prevent them from loving each other. Their own doctrines keep them in divisions and hatred. But the Lord comes to preach the Truth to us…and we are to hear and obey His voice…the “doctrine” that will be delivered to us. We are to obey from the heart.

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

The “many” have lived after the “infirmity of the flesh”…they have literalized the Bible…they have made works of the flesh with their earthly mind which brings hatred, division, envy and strife into the churches. But when we “awaken” to His Truth, we are to yield our members to righteousness unto holiness....we are to cast out all those "dead" works of the flesh. As we were in planted in his death, we shall be made "alive" in the regeneration of the churches...the renewal of the Spirit within us.

19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

Amen!! I love these , Thanks be to God !
I was thinking also many slept with their fathers , just as the law of moses was the ministration of death because of sin/ trespass still in darkness all in Adam die .. the stoning was that Law 2Cr 3:7But if the ministration of death, written [and] engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which [glory] was to be done away:How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
till Christ Comes to bring the Light /life!! Through the Spirit of God

1 Corinth 15

20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;1) the act of preparing
2) the condition of a person or thing so far forth as prepared, preparedness, readiness

3 places found to be readiness Act 17:11These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
copyChkboxOff.gif
2Cr 8:11Now therefore perform the doing [of it]; that as [there was] a readiness to will, so [there may be] a performance also out of that which ye have.
copyChkboxOff.gif
2Cr 10:6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

we know being canally mined is death !
and the mind of Christ is life , He must rule till his enemies be put under His feet / earth is his footstool , his feet / conquering the carnal minded / enemies against the Spirit through his teaching
and feet can also mean teaching
we have to trust and obey His teaching in order to become Christs possesion ....

the shodding your feet with the gospel is the teaching of Jesus Peace ! not as the worlds pesce
1) a foot, both of men or beast
a) often in the orient, one put his foot on vanquished
b) of disciples listening to their teacher's instruction are said to be at his feet
could also be the symbolism of unity in Christ , foot washing as we wash one anothers feet sharing this in humble humility to others
like we do here :) as the Holy Spirit teaches us how to glorify and honor and obey Jesus and God the Father

Amen Wheeler and Chicapee, wonderful scriptures:thumbsup:

Thats how I see it too Chicapee, enemies in our minds, to be carnally minded is death, enemies under His feet (teaching) death (even being carnally minded) swallowed up in life and peace (spiritually minded).

The carnal mind is also shown as emnity (hostility, great hatred) as well.

Ever notice its the carnal mind that is not subject to the law of God and neither indeed can it be? And its speaks of the weapons of our warfare being not carnal and yet also of the dragon makes war (specifically against) them who keep the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus? Even as he that was born after the flesh persecutes the one born of the Spirit?

These appear to speak to one another, though I havent taken them to where they are going fully (as I am sitting on them right now till I receive more...

Gen 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go

Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God

Gal 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

2Cr 10:4 ( For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds )

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

.... it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions (1 Cr 3:3 ) and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly.

Sounds familiar to the same here.... upon thy belly shalt thou go:idea:
