1. No, I didn't ever tell myself I'd marry by a certain age. In fact, I never really knew if marriage was right for me.

Not at all. I never placed pressure upon myself to marry by a certain age.

We met in 1977 at the age of one and were immediate playmates. This lasted throughout our childhood and adolescence. We are one another's best friend.

I don't think I set an age to get married, although if I was still single at 21 the plan was that me and my mate would just give up on girls and date each other.. .. it's highly likely that we had been drinking at the time though too.

I am friends with my special someone now.. didn't exactly have much of a chance of being friends sooner due to being on different continents.

First time I spoke to her.. again I may have been drinking but she thought it was cute.

No, as an adult I felt ready to get married at 23 but I didn't have a person to marry. However growing up I didn't have an idea at what age I would marry.

Yes and no. We met online and we where friends online for a while before we got together.

That said we are still friends. . . we are only friends that kiss and tell eachother how much we love eachother.

No, I wanted to ask her dad in person but since she's a 1000 miles away it didn't work out in terms of traveling so I asked her without asking her dad.

But I don't feel so bad, because her dad didn't ask her mom's dad and her mom was 17 when they got engaged. Melissa was/is 26.

I did however ask her for her hand in marriage. Just didn't ask her dad.

For a short time prior to we began dating, but only a couple months and it was a rather flirtatious friendship Then we started dating and we're even better friends now

Well I'm a girl, so I don't need to worry about that. But my b/f has not done so yet. Did you mean this question as asking the girl or asking the girl's dad. I'm not sure if my b/f will ask my father or not...I think I've told him I'd like it if he asks for my dad's blessing, but it's not really a make or break thing for me.

Yeah, we both read it when we started dating. I liked some of the stuff on communication but a lot of it was way too over-the-top for us. I wouldn't really recommend it personally.

No, still not even sure if marriage is right for me.

Yes. We were best friends for 3 years before we dated. By best I mean really best. Tell-all situation, person-you-hang-out-with-all-the-time. Everyone referred to us as essentially one person. We were treated like one person () we stuck together that much. We were the sort of best-friends that we would fight.

6 months into our friendship he fell for me but I was like "nahhhhhh" and I only started to become interested a couple of months before we officially started dating. So it was unrequited love on his behalf for over 2 years.

He has certainly not asked for my hand and if he did he'd be rejected pronto

1. No, I didn't have any dates in mind. I broke up with my highschool sweetheart because he didn't really want to get married. I had no clue when I would find someone and get married. Why have you decided you need to be married at 26?

3. I'm the girl. He asked my dad first then he proposed to me with all four of our parents present

I hoped to marry in my early 20's, maybe at 22, 23 but I never expected it.

Yes! We actually met on CF 5 or so years ago. He is American and I am Australian. In the first few years of talking we never expected we'd ever end up meeting and so this freed us to grow in friendship without any romantic feelings or ideas getting in the way. Not long after we started talking we became best friends.

No. He asked me.
