  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I miss those two guys :(

me too....wonder where they are??? Didn't hit 50 and leave us did they?

I don't think they've been online in a while. I'm staying after I hit 50.

I know that FJD has been busy finishing school, and getting his law degree. J1sK used to pop in now and then, but I thnk he had some issues with logging in at work. They sure livened things up around here, huh?^_^

SUPER mom?? LOL...HI! I am doing house cleaning! JOY! NOT. Hate it, but has to be done...doing laundry....

The weekend was very good. Enjoyed it. Now mind you my darling daughter was an emotional wreck going back to school today for some reason. Haven't figured it out yet! LOL...I guess that is part and parcel of being 15! THANK GOD I don't remember that! LOL

Yes, 15 is a hard age - especially for girls, don't you think? Cleaning is something I should be doing, but I started my week long vacation today. I'll wait... :)

Yes, I think the whole of the teenage years is hard...more so for girls. My son is 16 1/2 and a piece of cake. Not rebellious or anything...my daughter isn't rebellious..just super emotional! YIKES. OH enjoy your vacation..don't mess that up with house work! LOL I just have to do it while my hubby is awake..he works nights..so sleeps during the day...and have to be quiet then! lol But I am pretty much done. Just have a bit to do downstairs.

I understand the nightshift thing. My husband used to be able to sleep through ANYTHING - in later years, though - everything woke him up. Does your husband always have nightshift?

JP, she wasn't rebellious, either. It was mostly depression and anxiety attacks we dealt with. She told me the other day that she tried to be rebellious, but it just backfired on her (you know, wild rock music, etc) I told her, whatever, just put your headphones on, so I can't hear it!! When she turned 18, I drove her to get her first tattoo!! I figured there were worse things she could spend her money on, like drugs, etc!^_^ All in all, she's a good kid!

That's how I felt. My kids were basically good kids - and I picked my battles. Some things just didn't matter in the whole scheme of life.

Picking your battles is the only way to go. Don't sweat the small stuff, I figured!
