  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That's a lot more than what you are used to isn't it?
It'll triple the amount of time the Praise Team rehearses. But it's the same for regular choir. They only successfully recruited me for regular choir this Fall.

Hiya! Doing pretty good! Looks nice out for my picnic tonight.

What kind of picnic was that? I forgot. Remember, I don't remember. It's a beautiful day for a picnic, though.

That'll give you the idea.

Just awesome, John! I sang in choirs for very many years. The last choir I sang in was Voxing www.voxing.no and took part in recording a CD ''Handel's Young Messiah'', and we also toured a lot. It was fun (and lots of work).

I always loved singing in the choir at Church but I was always in my sister's shadow. She led the choir and she sang solo. She sang soprano. I was an alto, apparently.

Anyway, I still sing, but not in the choir, just in the congregation now. My children seem to like my singing but I cannot reach the very high notes anymore. Has anyone else noticed that, with age, the voice changes? (Or is it just me?)

Isn't it awesome that we can lift up our voices and sing to the Lord? He inhabits the praises of His people! :amen:

Yes, how cool is that?? Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise...!!

Yes, I was a 'high' soprano, but not anymore. I think it has to do with yelling at my kids so much when they were little...
