*Norway makes coffee and sausage rolls and waffles for her Fab 40s friends and builds a fire in the lounge to make it nice and warm before her friends get up for breakfast.

Yep, we are in our new church...the one we were talking about before. I decided to land there. There is alot leading up to that decision...but this new church is cutting edge on youth for one, and my kids are excited to go...and in the SPirit, there is an expectancy of things..not sure what yet..but it is good.

OH Dawn. It is hard for sure to search for a new church. I got good advice from the ladies here...Deb, and a few others, that you need to go where your spirit is being fed. So hard. I know I felt bad leaving the old church...but my spirit was dying..and I couldn't keep doing that..and my kids were slipping through the cracks. Be encouraged.

Ok, here's my two cents worth (hold on, it may be more like a buck fifty)

I heard both things, that you AREN'T indespensible and that if there's a need and you're available, you have to fill it. Well, guess what? I think both of those statements are wrong.

God made each of us unique. He cares deeply for us and in the grand scheme of things, He made us for special purposes that only WE can do. Not in an arrogant way, that's just how it is.

BUT - there are also seasons in our lives - times when we have the anointing to do something and times when the anointing is lifted and it's time to move on.

AND (excuse me, I have to adjust my podium) - there are things we are NOT anointed to do within the church. I'm sorry, that's the way it is. We may think we have to fill every need that comes up, but guess what? God, if we let him and wait on Him will supply the need in the exact way that He had planned. If you aren't working within your anointing, you'll find out really quickly - things just won't work and you'll be miserable. I honestly feel that that's the Holy Spirit showing us to go a different way.

Now I will step down. Any offerings will be appreciated...^_^ ^_^ ^_^

Thank you for your buck fifty Deb  Here is how I've been feeling about things at my church: 1. If I can be used to strengthen this church then I'm willing. 2. If the church is dead, let's pronounce it and move on. 3. Kick the dust off my feet and find something else.

My best friend Donna (her and her husband Randy aren't that happy at church either) attended the last Administrative Council meeting and stated that she and her family wasn't happy and told them that I was leaving. Keep in mind, this is a very small church and most people are on some kind of committee. The pastor was in attendance as well. The next Sunday I had one person approach me and ask me to stay until at least the middle of January when they are having a "town meeting" to determine where we are headed. Only one person and that person wasn't my minister. If something good comes out of this meeting and I can do something besides warm a pew then that's awesome...if not I don't know another route but to take a hike.

I love attending church. I know God has nudged me more than once to missions. I need a place that will encourage that and support it.

I think mine came up to $2.50. ;)

wow, well said. Seems to be a theme I am hearing today. Today's message at church was awesome. I think in the rush and push of the 'world' we forget the simple stuff. JMO...
