It is bad by default. It's also objectively bad. But I never saw your argument, so if you want to sum it up for me that'd be great.
It is not bad by default. Where is your evidence for this. That sounds like a personal opinion. If profanity is indicative of inferior intelligence in some way, how do you explain the use of profanity by geniuses?

Doesn't matter how "intelligent" someone is, spouting profanity is still the weak part of their brain coming to the forefront.

Prove that statement. What evidence do you have for this. Do you have evidence from neuroscience?

The evidence is that profanity makes one sound like a fool and adds nothing to a conversation.
Wait...that is your opinion, it is not evidence. I have beed edified by Shakespeare and others who employ profanity. There are beautiful songs that use profanity--for example Jason Isbell's song Elephant. That song is emotionally powerful and the use of profanity elevates that emotion.

So you think words can't ever be harmful?
I don't think the profane words themselves are truly harmful, if not just being tasteless. I think the intention of the heart is a bigger issue.

These verses you quoted are an inspiration in a culture where profanity is so casually used and defended.

I have chemical imbalance depression and have noted consistently that I tend to use it sporadically when depressed, irritated or frustrated. It is most always to myself under my breath or alone and almost never used in conversations with others; nevertheless I do not like it.

When my thinking is reasonable and normal (which is the vast majority of the time) I do not cuss. Ex military and old retired trucker here. Just got so used to hearing it that it lost any shock value.

Thank you for posting those scriptures. They are there to encourage yielding to the Spirit rather than leaning on the flesh. "Let your yes be yes and no be no". Just an imperfection I try to work on every day. I judge no one, but for me it is something to shoot for eliminating.

Is the F word so offensive because it refers to off limits stuff itself or it refers to abnormal off limits thigns like pornography and related behaviors or specific gross sexual acts.

The intention of the heart is what the religious care about--others focus on actions. I'll take actions.

Constantly cursing is an action. It's also a choice, even if it's a habit, it can be broken.

This is an awkard question because it wouldnt be right to get into details but Ive wondered why the f word is considered such a big deal.

I can handle people saying the f word every other word, more than people making fart jokes. That doesnt mean that the reference to mating itself doesnt make it disgusting and more disgusting than other stupid behaviors, it just makes it a different type of sin.
