I just love classical music. It relaxes me. The piano goes real well with it too. (I play piano, btw...) I have actually heard that classical music is making a come back and that it helps makes babies smarter.(not sure if that part is true, though...) I prefer the classical music that has no lyrics for opera.

Now that my rambling is done, I'd like to know... What are your favorite classical songs? Who are your favorite composers? What instrunment is your favorite to play your classical songs? Is there anything you like to do when you listen to them?

I love classical music too! :) It can speak to me in a way words can't, and lift me to another realm when I am feeling low. I tend to listen in a darkened room, so that there are no distractions.

My favourite composer is Handel, and most loved work the Messiah, especially: "O thou that tellest good tidings of Zion" and "For unto us a child is born", but I love it all. I cannot read the appropriate parts of Isaiah without associating the passages with his music. Wonderful stuff!
