Dapples of raindrops
Fall from the sky
The fog is so thick
As the air seems to cry
Tears for passed loved ones
For the lost souls of today
Crying for the years
That quickly pass away
Rain splashes and spills over
Making puddles so deep
Like sweat from a man's brow
Who's been laboring for his keep
Rain on the windshield
Of an old beat up car
Trailing along it's path
Wandering too far
Teardrops are gathering
Scalding the earth
As a child dreams of love
But God knows what he's worth
Rain keeps on falling
Flooding our lives
Clouding our visions
With the devil's lies
Soon the clouds part
As the last raindrop grieves
Then the rainbow appears
And into our hearts our Lord sees!
The blue sky is dazzling
