• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I don't know why, but I get angry at everything, that isn't right morally. It just discusts me to see drug addicts in homes with children present, especially in my own apartment building. Or the mouths of todays society, I try to look inwards. Process my feelings, and pray, asking for forgiveness, and strength to change my thoughts, but I honestly feel like I am at war with worldly things, angry at them, does anyone else feel this way?

I know what you mean...though I tend toward sadness rather than rage. It's not so bad if you're able to do something about it - the problems you see I mean.
Of course one isn't always in aposition to take action, so the other thing to do is to intercede, to pray for the people doing these things and also the victims.
It can be amazing what God does - and you never know God may lead you into being able to at least doing a small amount to help. Sorry if I'm not expressing what I mean very well, but I hope you get the gist.

Perhaps looking at it as God see's man ( full of sin) but sent His only Son to save us, because He loves us. We are all full of sin.
The thing is you can see the outwardly sin with addiction, and I do personally feel the enemy keeps people in denial and blinded by what they do.

I work with pregnant recovering addicts off the street, and some make it ..some don't sad to say. I held a pair of twins for the first time and the mother is doing very well, Thanks be to God. There are also some who went back out, and are using and I am sure the babies are now taken away/ born addicted :prayer:

I am sure if you see a child being hurt in any way, you would report it, right?

Also maybe God is stirring something in you to help others, pray and see where God is leading you. Just remember that God does not bring anger or confusion, but peace and clear direction.
