This racist cop had the audacity to issue a speeding ticket to a driver doing 70 in a 55 mph zone.
With the climate of race relations we have today in this country, this turned into a racial incident, which should have just been someone getting a speeding ticket.

Video doesn't lie

“I have had a traumatic experience and I want the people who are not African-American who know me to really get where we are coming from,” she says. “When I saw the police pull up behind me, the state trooper, I was immediately afraid."

“This is the area I’m in," she said, panning the camera around to show the rural roadway. “In the middle of, this kind of stuff. This is where I am, so it’s not like I’m not afraid, because this is where we got lynched."

She added: “Do any of my white friends…feel like that when they get pulled over?...Are they afraid that they are never going to come home or see anybody else because police are at the door saying [I’m going] to pull you out of the car? Why do only African Americans and people of color know what I’m going through right now?”

Rather,
in truth,
a lot of people in a lot of different races and different cultures and many countries
are going through MUCH WORSE things right now, TODAY.

The Bible shows that things are only going to get WORSE, every year, until JESUS RETURNS.

The only hope anyone has ever had for "things" to get better, has been and is IN JESUS,
TRUSTING fully and RELYING on the FATHER in heaven watching over us DAILY.

A GOOD SHEPHERD, Perfect, Faithful and True. Not a hired hand who runs away.

I guess the key to better race relations is refusing to hold non-whites responsible for their behavior. Do any of you want things to get better? Start demanding that police refuse to cite black drivers for speeding because slavery or something.

Most people who are really afraid don't argue back and cause trouble in my humble opinion.
Complete nonsense and he should have given her another for disruptive behavior.

What exactly is a race relationship? I know how I can have a relationship with another person but how do I have one with a race?
Most likely, most of the time, it is a made up term society uses.

There may or may not be some mention in Scripture of different races,
but it (the view of God in Scripture) is much much different than that of worldly society.

I honestly don't know. I'd say from my own observations, we were improving for a while and now we're regressing back to where we started.

I think we're regressing too, based on my own observations and experiences as an Indigenous person and as a veteran (meaning long term) Native American social justice and political activist.

We all bleed red, what is the deal with people. I never even think about racism until it is brought to my attention but people trying to start race wars and division amongst people ought to ashamed.

I think I agree, mostly, and would like to see if you based that on any Scripture ?

This is my belief :]

Question: "What is the origin of the different races?"

Answer:
The Bible does not explicitly give us the origin of the different “races” or skin colors in humanity. In actuality, there is only one race—the human race. Within the human race is diversity in skin color and other physical characteristics. Some speculate that when God confused the languages at the tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9), He also created racial diversity. It is possible that God made genetic changes to humanity to better enable people to survive in different ecologies, such as the darker skin of Africans being better equipped genetically to survive the excessive heat in Africa. According to this view, God confused the languages, causing humanity to segregate linguistically, and then created genetic racial differences based on where each racial group would eventually settle. While possible, there is no explicit biblical basis for this view. The races/skin colors of humanity are nowhere mentioned in connection with the tower of Babel.

At the Tower of Babel, when the different languages came into existence, groups that spoke one language moved away with others of the same language. In doing so, the gene pool for a specific group shrank dramatically as the group no longer had the entire human population to mix with. Closer inbreeding took place, and in time certain features were emphasized in these different groups (all of which were present as a possibility in the genetic code). As further inbreeding occurred through the generations, the gene pool grew smaller and smaller, to the point that people of one language family all had the same or similar features.

Another explanation is that Adam and Eve possessed the genes to produce black, brown, and white offspring (and everything else in between). This would be similar to how a mixed-race couple sometimes has children that vary in color. Since God obviously desired humanity to be diverse in appearance, it makes sense that God would have given Adam and Eve the ability to produce children of different skin tones. Later, the only survivors of the flood were Noah and his wife, Noah’s three sons and their wives—eight people in all (Genesis 7:13). Perhaps Noah’s daughters-in-law were of different races. It is also possible that Noah’s wife was of a different race than Noah. Maybe all eight of them were of mixed race, which would mean they possessed the genetics to produce children of different races. Whatever the explanation, the most important aspect of this question is that we are all the same race, all created by the same God, all created for the same purpose—to glorify Him.

I just believe there is the human race. Idk all the theories, However it seems several people equate it to Jacob and Esau as he came out red.

I think she is unrealistic to think no one in the State of Virginia should get speeding tickets. I lived in Northern Virginia. There was a No U-Turn sign. I went a block past it and did a U-turn at the next intersection where there was no sign prohibiting U-turns. An officer standing by the side of the road motioned for me to pull over. I told him there was no sign against a U-turn there. He did not answer, only wrote the ticket and gave it to me. I paid it. I have no tickets in the past seven years.

In my state you do not have to sign a ticket it you don't want to. It doesn't make one bit of difference whether you do or don't. You still have to pay the ticket or appear in court. You certainly cannot be arrested for refusing to sign it.

Can you judge anyone nowadays by the content of their character, without being called racist?

"I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character".

I also think the in your face Social Justice Warriors make the problem worse.

I guess the key to better race relations is refusing to hold non-whites responsible for their behavior. Do any of you want things to get better? Start demanding that police refuse to cite black drivers for speeding because slavery or something.
Or maybe cops can stop pulling them over for being Black, Indian or Mexican. And people like you, can stop being in denial about racism.
