I have rabbits for food enjoyment and always a fresh bunch of kittens (baby rabbits) for my little girls. If you have any questions about rabbits I'll probably have a answear.

Rabbits aren't my favourite animal. I'd prefer a hedgehog.

I had a rabbit that I named Charlie, he was black and white, he became dinner one day. but now I prefer dogs, cats and birds.

We raised them when I was growing up. They're cute pets, but require alot of attention to get them tame.

I raised rabbits in high school. I raised them primarily as food for our table, but did show them, too.

They are a great pet. As an adult I had a house rabbit. What personalities those rascals can have!!!

I rescued both of my rabbits from becoming someone's dinner. We just recently had on put down. He was 9. We have another one though.

Dad says I could get them, but he'll cook them up.

the bargain I struck with my parents when I was a child is that I would raise them, and have a specified few that I would breed, and they would pay me for any offspring they wanted to "eat".

What type of rabbits did you have?

Mini-Lops were my favorite. We also had Netherland Dwarfs and Angoras.

We have a mini-rex named Pennywise (think of "IT"). Rabits are pretty high maintainance animals... which in a way is somewhat sad for us cos we havn't had much time for ours since Dalton was born. Anyway, www.rabbit.org has a great wealth of information, and a chat room if you happen to want to pick their brains about rabbits in general (tell them Wiggidy sent you LOL).

aw I love rabbits

I don't have any of my own, but my friend used to have two gorgeous angora rabbits that I would help look after once in awhile.

What type of rabbits did you have?

I raised Standard Chinchillas, Siamese Satin and New Zealand Whites. The Chins were my favorites.

Hi Taf and all,

I love rabbits but mainly in the wild. We have several cottontails who come across the fence from the open range here in the desert and wander around on our streets and R.V. spaces. They are adorable. Don't stay long - just long enough to sit and stare at us and then hop on.

When I was a kid I had a domestic white girl rabbit named Susie. She was an adorable pet who I got when she was really little. I trained her to stay on a very lose leach so that she could run around the yard and even could bring her in the house if I watched her closely.

Most of the time though I had to keep her in a rabbit cage. They can be messy to clean up. If you keep them outside there is always the possibility that dogs or other animals can break into the cages and kill them. So best to keep them in an enclosed area safe from invasion and attack. Susie ate rabbit pellets, but also all kinds of veggies from our garden and she needed fresh water daily just like our cats and dogs.

When I left for college and couldn't take Susie with me, my mom took care of her for a while and then gave her to our next store neighbor who raised rabbits. I never knew for sure but think she may have ended up in a rabbit's stew. She was very tame and would even sit on my lap while I petted her and then jump down. I will always remember Susie.
