  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"God is good. I don't jack idiots up anymore. How thick we are...humans. How utterly full of maliciousness...you know, the 'subtle' kind. The kind hidden behind a smile, smooth fluffy words. flattery. Somebody gimme a spoon cuz I'm gonna gag.

In one breath we say 'Jesus', holler halleluia, and jump shouting praises, maybe even swoon for effect. In the next breath we are just plain ig'nant. Rude, nasty, and make it oh so clear that there are 'those' diff'rent than us. With a passing 'God bless you' we dismiss them and leave them to their misery, not owning that we just added to it.

There are some monsters in the world. And I don't mean the kind that have a right to be that way. They are who they are and they don't deny it. It's the kind that would never see themselves that way..cuz they are 'decent' folk.

The 'destroying' they do is more vicious because it's more subtle. Veiled in secrecy, doled out in 'code'. It's so much more damaging that way.
