Quotes not working

When you click on the quote button in a post , it takes you to a new page that has the 'Reply to thread' but within the message space the post you are trying to quote doesn't appear. I have tried this on at least half dozen different posters.

It started working yesterday, then stopped again. I just checked and it still isn't working, I am still getting the field empty, but multi quote is working, the quotes appear in the fielde.

Can you go into a bit more detail...

1) Which link are you going to (eg, bottom or top of thread reply button? or specific reply buttons? or quote buttons?

2) Can you give me an example URL of the page missing the quote?

It's working now, but wasn't at the time I wrote this. I figured a way around it, you could hit the multi quote button within the post and then it would give you just that one quote. But now I see that the single quote button is working. I wasn't using a reply button I was using the quote buttons with individual posts. There is the quote button for just that single post then there is the MQ button for multi-quotes.

something else you must have been tweeking fixed this. Whatever did it, thank you, I use the quote button all the time!
