I do not understand the reasoning behind "sex primarily for reproduction" mindset. It's bizarre to me in that we are told, by Christians, we are more than mere animals, but we are reduced to animal behavior when we view sex only as a way to continue our population. One of the things seperating us from most other animal species is sexual behavior outside of estrus. The only other known animal to have sex out of season is the bonobo. So, I guess bonobos and humans are more than mere animals. Yet we are told by these quiverfull Christians to breed like animals.

I do not believe that sex is only for reproduction, otherwise, I would only have sex with my husband during fertile times. I can tell you that this is not the case.

Academic, you still haven't answered the original question. I know you said you would be away, but PLEASE!! I am dying to know how you came to your point of view.
