Hi all, I know it's been months and months since I've been here to visit and I apologize. I really have missed everyone here. I keep in contact with some on this forum but unfortunately not everyone.

Everything is going very well. I graduate in 43 days. :) My plan is still to become a prison nurse after getting some experience on a hospital Med-Surg floor.

Happy Sabbath!!

WOW! A prison nurse? What made you choose to be a prison nurse?

I use to work as a correctional officer in a maximum security prison.

Several things made me decide to be a prison nurse actually. The prison system touched my life personally (no, I wasn't ever in prison), and also I'm learning in my psych class that we're putting our mentally ill people (mostly bipolar) in prisons because we don't really know what else to do with them. It's a travesty and I plan on helping in any way that I can to see that it stops.

Usually the nurses that take prison positions can't get jobs anywhere else (I did say usually, just to be clear). It's usually nurses that have had so many patient complaints that they're "marked"....and the prisons love THOSE nurses. I want to be a good nurse that chooses it.

Also, Matthew 25:35-40 is a big inspiration to me.

Praise God...may He bless your work abundantly.
