Quick iPOD question.

I just order a ipod, and just wanted to know, how to download my cd's to my ipod? do I have to download it to my computer first, then download. will it ask me if i want to add to my ipod? can I select only the music i want to my ipod. please help. thanks so much.

Do you have iTunes?
If you do, then just put a CD in your computer, and upload (is that the right word?) the songs you want. It's pretty simple-- just check the song you want to upload.
After you have all of your songs in the library, drag them into your ipod.
There will be directions when you get your iPod
