I dont know many SDA. My hairdresser is one and I think she's the only one that I know.

I would like to know are SDA similar to Messianic Jews who are Torah observant?

I have bought meat substitutes from a SDA company. Loma Linda, if I recall correctly. Are SDA encouraged to be vegetarians/vegans?

Who is Ellen G. White and what is her role in the present day church?

In some ways SDA's are similar to Messianic Jews in that we both keep the Sabbath and probably in other things as well. I have not looked into them very deep as I have only recently came across them.

In brief we are encouraged to leave meat eating out of our diet. That does not mean every SDA does not eat meat. Even those who do generally eat less meat than non SDA's

SDA's have the same Bible as other denominations - Baptists, Methodests, etc. We do observe Friday sundown to Saturday sundown as Sabbath as the messianic Jews, but I believe that is the only thing.

Cliff explained things pretty well, I just wanted to clarify that one thing. Thanks for curiosity. The only way people can truely understand what we believe is by asking questions and being interested. Thanks again!
