To start off would you consider yourself a mid Acts or Acts 28 dispensationalist?
What gospel did Paul receive from Christ on the road to Damascus in Acts chapter 9, the Jewish gospel that saved the rest of the apostles or the gospel of grace that is applicable to the Gentile Church of today? Was Paul saved by the gospel mentioned in I Cor 15:3 or the gospel that saved Peter (Matt 16:16, Acts 15:11).
I am mid acts. This is where Paul was saved and where he received the gospel of OUR salvation today.
The church today would be considered the church, which is His Body, since scripture tells us that today there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile as far as God is concerned. ALL come to God via faith in the finished work of the Cross.
Paul was saved by a NEW gospel...he was the first and the pattern for all who believe AFTER him.
1 Timothy 1:16 "Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that
in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering,
for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting."
This is where the MYSTERY body of truth begins.
This is the entire POINT of Pauls ministry and message. He was the beginning of something NEW. That "something" had heretofore been HID IN GOD, and a SECRET...but was NOW being progressively revealed to a NEW apostle, raised up BY God to impart NEW information to a NEW CREATION.
No more "Special status for a nation", but ALL concluded in UNBELIEF so that God could have Mercy upon all. Israels program had to be put on HOLD, for completion at another time in the future, in order for God to set into motion this plan He had in mind ALL ALONG. He kept it secret for a reason...NOT even satan knew about it...he who would "be like the most High God". Had he known, scripture tells us that he wouldnt have crucified the Lord of Glory. Gods SECRET , MYSTERY plan is awesome, and ONLY Paul was given the responsibility to RECEIVE it and then give it to the NEW ENTITY, the church which is His Body.
