CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

With my female friends, they're mostly intercessors (as I am one, too).
I'd probably tell that 15 year old me to be sure her relationship with Jesus is right, that she's pure in her heart, and to follow Him closely. (I didn't get saved till I was 34, after many, many years of sin...had much to undo).

Living alone, I don't bother with a tree. If I want to see trees and decorations, I can go to the clubhouse of the apartment complex where I live or out for a drive after dark, and also at church.
My shopping is finished and the gifts have been sent. You know, mail early. I'm done.

Hi Ann Marie,
I think that divorce is punishment in itself, don't you? I was divorced at the age of 21 (married at 16). It was very painful.
I believe that God wants those who have been divorced to be restored, to be made whole, not punished.

Officially, I think that winter starts on or about December 21st...but you were probably meaning the weather. Here in Boise, some nights get down to the teens, meaning 19 degrees or less. I guess you could call that winter.

I'm assuming that you're asking about Christmas dinner. I don't have anywhere to go for Christmas this year. Last year, I spent the day alone, too.

I need to say this.
When I started posting on this board, I had expected to receive serious questions about the Bible and things that were of a more serious nature, rather than being asked about what kinds of food I'd eat (no offense intended).
So, what I'm now adding here:
I'm not going to answer questions that are of a trivial nature, such as those about me (except as it relates to HIM).
Hope that those reading this understands.
