MOTH said:New sig is great, Miss M. Would you like a cup of home made chicken soup with crusty bread? (had to cook some for the frail and sick in the family, heh) Like a strapping 27 y o youngest son!!!! (Flu and an abcess on the tooth, poor little precious!)
You have the best taste in Subway ever - only change the bread to Italian Herbs and Cheese.Miss_Music said:hmmm... home made chicken soup...... *drool*
lol! men are always big and brave till they get the slightese bit sick... then they turn into big babies... lol... (wait, i do that too... oh well, maybe it's not just the men)
awww... hope your son gets better soon anyway
speaking of teeth... i have to get my wisdom teeth seen to soon. not looking forward to that at all!
ok, enough chat, time for a question:
have you had your wisdom teeth out?
Whoops, I shouldn't have asked such a specific question directed at one person.lozzie said:I have played the sax for all of 0seconds... i've never tried playing it cause it's got a reed. Never tried peoples instruments that induces saliva all over a piece of woody stuff to play it. i tried playing someones trombone in stage band once. that was fun!!! hahahaha
what is your favourite instrument?
DanielJamesSimon said:I love the saxaphone, wish I could play.
How long have you played sax?

Yeah, i tried peoples trumpet/trombone/flutes/tuba/violin at school... ie i'd try brass/strings... but never reed instruments... lol (i played bass guitar at schoolmiss M said:ROFL!!!! yeah, reeds are kinda gross to share hey? though that's never really stopped me from trying out all the different instruments that i can get my hands on...actually, swapping instruments was one of our favourite past times when i was in band at school. everyone always wanted to try my bari sax coz it was so big
Bagpipes - though even they can be tolerable in the right context. I'm not a fan of the organ, but in the right context it can be quite majestic.Miss_Music said:what is your least favourite instrument?
Never heard of one... it sounds odd.Miss_Music said:have you ever played a 'thong-a-phone'? (they used to have one in the science centre here in brizzy... it ROCKED!!!)
A little over 14 years now.Miss_Music said:Daniel - how long have you played piano?
I primarily play piano but have taught myself guitar. I'm no lead guitarist but can play pretty much anything if it's just chords. I can play bass but don't often enough to get decent at it. I can keep a beat on the drums but again don't often enough to be able to consider myself able to "play" them.lozzie said:Yeah, i tried peoples trumpet/trombone/flutes/tuba/violin at school... ie i'd try brass/strings... but never reed instruments... lol (i played bass guitar at school)
how many instruments can you play and what are they?
DanielJamesSimon said:Who is your favourite classical composer?

can i answer this one too? please???lozzie said:how many instruments can you play and what are they?
Classical (more specifically, music from the Classical and early Romantic periods - but any "classical" is great), but apart from classical... alternative rock (Muse, Radiohead, Silverchair, Keane), Classic Rock (Beatles, Supertramp, Led Zeppelin, Badfinger..... etc.) and I'm recently getting into jazz for the first time. This is due largely to the a capella vocal jazz group The Idea of North, one of my favourite bands. But I love jazz piano and jazz bands... and regret my very limited experience and knowledge of them!Miss_Music said:what is your favourite style of music?
I've had Scat highly recommended to me by two fellows (whose musical tastes I put great faith in) who attended the AGMF. I am keen to check them out when I visit one in two weeks. I will keep my eyes peeled for BBVD.Miss_Music said:man! that's a loaded question! i'll try my best to cut my answer down to a few bands.
christian contemporary - OC Supertones, day of fire (at the moment anyway, i tend to change my mind a lot)
secular - simple plan, switchfoot
jazz - michael buble, big bad voodoo daddy, every man and his llama, scat
classical - the kronos string quartet (i know you said contemporary but in terms of classical groups, these guys are contemporary!)
Daniel - if you're looking for a good jazz group, try 'Big Bad Voodoo Daddy'. they're a new york big band. they rock!!! for christian jazz, check out 'scat'. they're brisbane based, so depending on where you are you might not be able to get a hold of any of their stuff.
ok, now for a complete change of subject...
