Heyy,
I'm reading the Bible to prepare myself to lead a small group of deaf people who are curious about God and Jesus.
However, I accepted Jesus as my Savior last summer, and soon after that, I went to college for the first time.
Well, I don't have much of time to read the Bible throughout first year at college.
Now, I do have plenty of time, and I have questions when I read the Bible.
I'm wondering if you are able to answer these following questions related to Mark.
1) Mark 2:18-21, I don't understand the point of fasting?? Also, how are bridegroom, patch, and wine related to this?
2) Mark 8:14-21, I don't understand why Jesus compares yeast with pharisees and Herod (is he the king?)??
3) Mark 9:49 - 50, is Jesus saying that salt symbolizes goodness?? What is the metaphor meaning behind the word "salt"?
4) Mark 12:10 - Haven't you read this scripture:
" 'The stone the builders rejected
has become the capstone;
I'm totally lost by this verse, can you clarify it for me??
5) I notice there is a term "elect" in Mark 13:20 and 22, does that mean court or something? I don't understand that...
Any answer to these above questions would be appreciated greatly!
Thanks!
Auzy
